NFL DRAFT & RUMORS MEGATHREAD

I don’t agree Rico if Barron is there.

The dt class is so deep and Barron is an excellent clean prospect.

Stack your board according to having three top 100 picks with three positions to fill.
I just can't get behind doing the same thing again, this team has prioritized the secondary over any postion group for so long, I just want to change the philosophy.

I also think Barron is strictly a slot corner, he might be a great slot corner but at 13 I'd want a boundary.

I agree on the philosophy part but players can deter that in the moment.

So I agree with your philosophy change for the culture but I couldn’t take Banks over Barron just to stick to it

I have to agree I'm not super excited about Banks. But I'm not excited about these two corners either, one is a slot and the other has red flags all over the place.
.
It's pretty safe to assume the following players will be off the board by 13.

Ward
Hunter
Carter
Campbell
Graham
Membau
Jeanty
Tet - my run up the card guy of this draft, if he's there at 13, I'm sprinting the card up there.

IMO those 8 are definitely going top 10.

So we will have 4 more players off the board before we pick. Of the players left that I want the most, I think Walter Nolan would be my pick as we sit here today, but I don't think he will slide to #13 bc i never get what I want.

There is a rumor that Loveland and Warren are going very high, which would be great for us, but might be wishful thinking. But let's say one of them is gone before #13.

So make the list 10 guys with Nolan and Warren added to the 8 listed above. Rumors are circulating that Sanders will be going to the Saints at 9 if the Giants pass on him, so that's 11. Only one more guy off the board before we pick. So the logical thing would look at the edge rushers to fill that last spot so I'll say Walker or Stewert will be that 12th guy.
.
Which leaves us with the following:

The two Corners & the saftey Starks, none of whom I want anything to do with.

At Oline it's Banks, Simmons or Zabel, too high for Zabel, Banks is solid but doesn't jump off the page and Simmons is comming off injury, but when healthy he might be a better linemen than the other two. I wouldn't be mad if we took Simmons.

At DT we will have a pick between Harmon and Grant, both players i like and would take over any of the secondary guys.

Then there is the BPA that will be on the board that no one is talking about in Jihaad Campbell, he's gonna be a probowl LB and possibly and All-pro, taking him wouldn't be a bad idea and I'd advocate for him before any of the secondary guys.

We also might have a trade down opportunity come to us, if that happens I'm taking it, as spelled out above, it feels like we're missing out of the top two tiers of guys unless we take Jihaad.

Tier one: Ward, Hunter, Carter, Graham, McMillan, Jeanty

Tier two: Campbell, Campbell, Membau, Nolan, Warren

Then there is a gap and the Tier 3 guys stretch alot deeper, where I have around 4 edge rushers, Loveland, the Corners & Starks, and the remaining Olinemen, Plus Harmon and Grant.

Dunno if I'd consider Zah Frazier a sleeper anymore. Probably a day 2 pick. Honestly if he wasn't turning 25 during his rookie season I'd say he'd sneak into round 1
I know. Age seems to be the only thing keeping Frazier from getting drafted higher. He's very similar to Seattle's CB Woolen, in terms of size and skill. Both coincidently played at UTSA for the Roadrunners.
