NFL Network Response to Dave Hyde

If we start winning the FA will be banging the door down. Everyone in this league wants to win, and I guarantee they want to win more than they would hate dealing with a pain in the ass GM.

Maybe the reason the "vibe" isn't exactly right is people are now starting to get accounted for by their play (hopefully) as we start shuffling things around. Maybe players are a little nervous for once seeing as Sparano was a players coach obviously. Let's hope this is the case anyway.
Philbin is a players coach as well. The problem has been in the organization since 2008.

Clearly Jeff Ireland's personality is a big problem. Either he needs to look in the mirror and fix it, or he could be out of a job after the draft.

Everyone is piling on the Phins right now and it's certainly been a strange off-season as of right now but this bashing is certainly way overboard. We added some real good players in FA and the new coaching staff was very well-received by the NFL community/players. All this Manning saga + Flynn + this odd interest in Smith only to end up with Garrard just looked bad from an outsider point of view but for the club on the field? Let me be very suspicious on this. When OTA begins after the draft, all this s*** will be behind us and players will concentrate on things on the field with the coaching staff. Let the talking heads do their thing and just see what this team can do on the field. I'm cautiously confident that the structure in place is very good and that this team will be better than last year's team.

The way I see it:

-QBs will be improved with Moore + Garrard + probably Tannehill for the future.
-RBs improved with a full off-season for DT + Bush, Messam and Slaton
-OLine will be better

-Dline pretty much the same, Langford will be replaced by Odrick + increased playing time for Mcdaniel and Merling
-LBers depends on another addition like Anderson (hopefully) if he signs, we're improved
-DBs improved with Marshall as the starting FS (way better than last year) and Jones will be an excellent SS
-Special teams still solid

Once the season starts this will all be forgotten until the next offseason. If we have a great season more FA will wan to play for a winner, if we have a bad season we will get a few that don't care about the GM they just want to play and live in Miami and we start over again. We won't be terrible forever.

If we win they will come. All players want to win and want to be paid what they are worth. Both are important. We have 3 years of losing records and players want to understand how we are going to change that.

With 100% seriousness ... what chances do you give them of winning anything? If we can't get Free Agents we will have to build through the draft and with smart trades. I don't have any confidence in Ireland to draft or trade well so the chances of us winning without building through Free Agency and trades/draft are VERY slim.

Not true. When an organization treats Zach Thomas and Yeremiah Bell they way they did and when a player is being questioned whether or not his mom is a prostitute that sends a strong signal that this is a bad place to play. Even Matt Flynn said the vibe is Seattle was much better then Miami. This is a real problem that won't end until Ireland is gone.

How did the Texans treat Winston? Even further back, Tony Boselli. How did the 49'ers treat Jerry Rice? Hines Ward? Every team does this to aging players with high cap numbers.
This entire manufactured issue is silly. Joey Porter is whining, big deal. He was on the decline when the Phins gave him a lucrative deal and should be kissing this organization's butt instead of taking cheap shots

it's 1:35p here in Cali... Eisen/LaConfora/Lombardi are having a chucklefest on-air about the Dolphins! they've got a 'genius board' up in the newsroom... Miami is listed at "0" on the board (insert guffaws/tears/knee-slaps). friggin embarrassing.

Wow you people are fragile grow a pair - When NFLN - has you in a flap - throw yourself off a bridge and be done with it - no?

In NY on the FAN radi,o they were talking about making the playoffs and stated, even the lowest of franchises, the Miami Dolphins, the team nobody wants to play for has a chance once the season starts. It has gotten that bad in the media.

Completely agree! Nobody treats their players worse than the Patriots!
