Nick Sabans Attitude

I think he's less a tough guy than an "in charge" guy. He will do it his way, no questions asked. And so far, all reports by the players are good, and they like the system he's bringing in.

If Saban is the control freak that he is painted as being, then I support him even more. I hope that he does run the show in a way that makes a point. If the entire Dolphins roster from 2004 is rebuilt from scratch, then so be it. Wanny decimated this squad and installed a "play to not lose" attitude. Not a "play to win" one. Players should play and practice like they could be replaced tommorrow. Staying hungry is what won the Patriots three Super Bowls. What I am excited about is the belief that I have that Saban is the real deal. I believe that he is better than the guy in NE.

No, i didn't even come up with it. i don't know that much about Saban, I was just reading a NFL preview and they asked the same thing, and I figured I'd see what you guys think.

But since the Fins don't really have any prima donna attitudes on there team it shouldn't be a problem.

have the jills any prima donna's los

Yes! Just like Shula which was very tough, Zonk once said after a win and he was yelling and screaming at them after wards. Larry said to a reporter DIDN"T WE WIN! and look how good we were then.

Toughness is just what they need!:D

LOL... Kim Bokamper's got a story just like that but it was a comment between teamates rather than to a reporter.

Not yet really. McGahee could be headed in that direction though.

We haven't got the TO's, Randys, Keyshauns, or any guyslike that that I can see.

They really aren't in our division at all for that matter.

Honestly, aside from possibly McGahee, the only name that popped into my head was McMichael. He did a littoe complaining last year right, not that alot of the Fins didn't want to complain about Wanny last year.

Another Bill fan. Sit back and watch us destroy your team. Then ask the same stupid question.

First off, i doubt you'll be destroying anyone this year. Maybe the Browns. Second, its not a stupid question, Saban demands alot from his players, if it dosen't translate to victories the players are going to respond. If it was 4 years into his tenure and he had "his guys" on the team, they might give him some slack, but alot of the current players might not feel the same.

But thanks for your worthless response, keep up the good work.

For sure. There is no reason not too, the guys a proven winner at the collgege level, and he's had success in the pros as an assitant.

I thin what they are saying is, will the players by into his attitude if it dosen't translate to victories?

Players won't buy into any attitude if they're always losing. So far the players have seemed to respond well. He's had better luck with FA signings so far than Wanny had as well. We'll see what happens during the season I guess.

McMike is a little bit. Last year he started complaining and then started dropping passes. I think Saban can fix that though .

I was reading some article that was talking about Nick Sabans "tough guy" attitude nd it was asking if that will translate well to the NFL. (ala Tom Coughlin)

In college that sort of thing can fly, the kids aren't getting paid, and many of them make the team solely from hard work.

In the NFL its different, you have a lot more selfishness and attitude. These are the guys who have been told they are great for years.

now I'm not saying Saban will fail, but do you think the players will respond well to his style if the struggle at any point? Has this been discussed at all, I mean Saban may be a great coach, and have great schemes, but if they lose early on will the players continue to play for him?

I see your point in camparing the two. But I think Saban is a kinder gentlier version of Coughlin. With the main difference being Saban is REASONABLE. Coughlin is not. I highly doubt Saban will call 1 p.m. meetings, start them at 12:55 and then fine you for being late cuz you showed up at 1. Saban is a tough, non-nonsense coach, who from all reports so far, the players respect. Coughlin is just dick that most players can't stand.

I think the better comparison really is Saban and BB. Close to the same styles, with Saban being a little more hard-nosed.

Could be worse we could have mularkey(****).

Oh, the guy who had a 9-7 record in his rookie season coaching?

The guy who turned Tommy Maddox and Kordell into All-Pros?

Mularkey did a good job and the Bills pay him beans compared to most other coaches around the league.
