No love for Matt Moore?

Your basing this on your opinion not facts. I guess you forgot Carolina had Moore and drafted Clauson and Newton back to back. I said wouldnt start i didnt say if I was owner of these teams I would start him or not. Many of these teams had their chance to sign Moore and passed . Now based on his play last year Im sure there is better opinion but he wouldnt start for all those teams get real

Well I guarantee you they seem much more happy with him than they ever were with moore. I mean they could have kept Moore for almost nothing.
I hated the Newton pick but he was much better in carolina than moore ever was

Yea, that was an awesome season they had last year. What did they win? 6 games? Newton started every game right.

how many games did they win with Moore. He won 6 games with a team that had the worst record the previous year. while moore was basically .500 with a .500 team so whats to crow about.
We cant say what Moore would do over a full season since he cant hold a starting qb job for a full season. Already in danger of not starting this year, cant say same for Newton

Yea, Moore hasnt started a full season because teams have been too foolish to let him. That Carolina team would not have had the worst record if they had let Moore start all year. Thats why they didnt do it btw, they were sucking for Luck only Luck decided to stay at Stanford. They got rid of almost every veteran they had on the roster before that season started. That btw, is the only season Moore has started a handful of games and not looked great.

He's right though.

I appreciate what Matt Moore did last season after being such a bum in Carolina, but we're all fooling ourselves if we think that Matt Moore is anything more than a lifetime backup in the NFL. And anytime a lifetime backup is starting for an NFL team, that poor team has zero chance to go anywhere in the long run.

Let Matt Moore get his reps so that he's ready to be the backup when it's time. Right now, toss Tannehill to the wolves and find out what you have. If Tannehill sucks, I want to know now rather than later.

I liked that Moore had the balls to throw it to Marshall but nothing else stood out to get me excited about him starting for us this season, especially considering we dont have Marshall anymore or anything remotely close. Having said that Moore would give us the best record on average but I'm more of a hisk risk/high reward type of guy.

He's not right about anything.

In his first "extended" action as a starter he improved across the board. The guy barely had a resume prior to arriving in Miami. So to deem him a lifetime backup before he's even had time to let things play out is absurd, naive, and pure conjecture at this point. He's more than capable of starting for the team as he showed last year. Coming in on a shortened offseason with no 1st team reps, no familiarity with any of the players, not getting a start until Week 4 and then ending up the team MVP? Had three 3TD games, 3 games over 110 passer rating, and a near 90 QB rating on the year? Offense averaged almost 25 pts a game under his leadership the final 9 games? C'mon, for freakin' sake people need to stop short-changing the guy. That is not someone relegated to back up duty. There is potential there. I know objectivity runs short in these parts when the new hottest things comes around ..... but seriously guys.

The question remaining with him is will he ever be good enough to elevate the team when called upon vs. the upper echelon ball clubs. We don't know that he can't yet, but we don't know that he can either. This team is in a good spot with the young talent they have at the QB position. Be thankful. Stop hating.

The awesomeness of moore

2007 went undrafted and signed by Dallas who decided he was not worth a roster spot and cut him, put him on practice squad and picked up by Carolina. Started 3 games for carolina won 2 of them but was pretty bad with a 67 qb rating
2008 broke Fibula and was out all season
2009 actually played pretty well and was looked upon as favorite to start next season
2010 Drafted Clauson pretty high to be qb of future as sign of their faith in moore being so awesome then Moore went on to suck and was replaced by the just as bad Clauson
2011 Carolina thinks Moore is so awesome they decide that they need to draft another qb high and make no attempt to resign him. Moore goes to Miami and is a backup to not so great Henne, takes over and plays pretty good.
2012 New head coach thinks Moore is so awesome he drafts a qb with our first pick and signs David Garrard who moves up depth chart over the awesome Moore.

Moore played well last year and I hate to really put him down, but he isnt some awesome qb he has his good, his bad and he is far from a proven nfl starter
