Lets tank this year to get Wiggins....I have seen Wiggins YouTube videos and he is amazing.
If you haven't seen that Dr. J documentary, you absolutely should. It's very well done.Well at least we didn't rehire old Larry Brown to be our coach. This Brown seems to be an innovative guy and well respected. I love that Lebron James had Dr. J with MJ and Larry Bird on his top three greatest players ever. I started watching Doc in 1975....he won the first dunk contest at McNichols Arena up the road in Denver. I was 9 years old and it was the greatest thing I ever saw. Doc averaged almist 30 points and 12 to 15 rebounds a game in the ABA and had three straight MVP's. He was Jordan before Jordan. Looking forward to the Sixer's future.
Wiggins is an amazing talent, I can see teams tanking for him at the end of the season. I think he ends up in Toronto. It will be like when Lebron was drafted. Jabari Parker is the other guy to watch out for.
I like that MCW has cleaned up the turnover problem for now that he had during the summer league. I originally had the same mindset about Turner, but maybe a new voice in his ear could be the best thig for him. Very good chance he's the leading scorer for team this year along with a couple other stats.16 assists to 1 turnover thus far for MCW. I've been impressed. I also love what I've seen from Turner. He actually looks in shape for maybe the first time ever... He's attacking the basket, finishing with contact and drawing fouls. And not complaining like he seemingly does on every layup. Could it be that Collins really was holding him back? We know that he and Collins didn't have the best relationship. Maybe a new coach has sparked some motivation in Turner. He's certainly been motivated in the weight room.
He's going to put up big numbers this year regardless. He'll be allowed to shoot the ball as much as he wants. Originally, I was hoping this would be the case so that we can get something decent for him in a trade. But, maybe there's room for him in our futrue plans after all. In a season where Andrew Wiggins is the only thing that matters, it will be an interesting storyline to follow at least.
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that. Hopefully that is something he can do consistently throughout the year. I know it's only preseason, but what do you think of the pace they are playing at? Personally, I like it.MCW has shown he can hit that 3 ball as well.

Even though there will be a lot of losses, at least the style of play could be fun to watch. Is it just me or is Turner in much better shape this year? He looked different when I was watching last night.I like the pace and Brown does a much better job calling set plays than Collins did.

It will be nice to see a functioning half court offense. He is definitely in better shape. He was becoming Boris Diaw more each season.
Like you said We're going to such big watching Turner and the young guys develop should be fun. So should watching a coach actually bring a half court offense to Philly with a motion offense and good set plays.

Hopefully this team has a smattering of victories to keep their spirits up, but I think close losses are the best thing for this team. It's hard to practice a certain situation when you're getting run out of the gym by 20+ points night after night.
Just out of curiosity, have you looked at the prospects coming out next year? I know the top few prospects of the draft, but I didn't know if there was a guy you had your eye on for the other first round pick the Sixers will probably have?Close losses with our young guys looking good is the best outcome.
