Official 76ers Thread

Just out of curiosity, have you looked at the prospects coming out next year? I know the top few prospects of the draft, but I didn't know if there was a guy you had your eye on for the other first round pick the Sixers will probably have?

Montrezl Harrell, Aaron Gordon, Mario Hezonja, Glenn Robinson, Dario Saric, Mitch McGary, James McAdoo, Dante Exum, Andrew Harrison and Wayne Seldon are all names to follow. I'm particularly interested in PF's. Ouside of Young and an unproven Noel, our bigs are awful. Worst in the league you could argue. Harrell, Gordon, and McGary could be there with our 2nd pick. I'll also be really interested in following some international players. If anyone can develop them, it should be Brett Brown coming from a Spurs team that always did well with them. SG/SF will be important as well. Because of the lottery system, Wiggins/Parker are no guarantee even if we finish the worst team in the league. If we end up with the 3rd or 4th pick, then you'll likely be looking at a PF in Julius Randle or maybe Aaron Gordon or perhaps Guard Dante Exum if he ends up in this draft. Even if we do land Wiggins, a Turner trade is always possible. Harrison if he's there with our 2nd pick is worth a thought as well if Brown isn't high on MCW.

saw that noel is out for the year...you guys got rotten luck
I think if we were trying to be competitive this year, which we obviously are not, he would play sometime in January-February. Sure, it sucks we won't see him this year, but there's no reason to rush him back.

Agree with PP11. He could've came back after New Years but there's no point in that. Give him extra time to heal, and most importantly, hit the weight room hard because he needs to gain some weight. We're tanking so we don't need him.

And the race is on!

I think Phoenix just got the upper hand by trading away their best player for nothing. Once they dump Dragic they will have a one man team.

16.5 wins over/under set for the Sixers. One of the lowest of all time. For good reason. Phoenix can try all they want, but it's not going to happen. Even if they trade Dragic that one man team beats our no man team by a mile.

i'd sure like boston to get in on this...dump rondo and it may be possible

all i know is that kid wiggins handle on youtube stuff for his size was better than lebrons...and man can he hang in the air...filthy talent there...everyone should be tanking for that

too bad tanking doesn't really work with the lottery system, I don't know the numbers but the team with the most losses never gets the top pick

that's true...it will probably be the lakers that win the lotto after the nba finishes rigging the thing

Even if the Sixers don't end up with the number 1 pick, they will still have a high pick that's still in the top 4. The last team I would want to see get the number one pick is the Lakers.

yeah but the #1 pick gets the franchise changer talent in wiggins...looks like a once a decade type talent to me...gonna be a fun watch at kansas this year...how the hell does that come out of canada???

I have no idea, but I will definitely keep my eye on Kansas this year. I also want to watch Kentucky to see some of those uber talented freshmen they brought in this year.

that wiggins kid to me looks like his game is tailor made for the nba...may see the structure of the college game isn't a great fit...filthy talent though...worth the price of admission

unless what i've seen has been doctored ha ha
