Official Free Agency and Rumors Thread

Sorry if this has been discussed already. Drew Rosenhaus said on WQAM this morning that he is expecting Miami to resign Delmas and commented Delmas' recovery is ahead of schedule. Delmas has stated himself that he expects to be participating in summer activities and ready to go by beginning of regular season. IMO I would like this signing. He's the best option at FS for us in FA. I know him staying healthy is the big concern but considering how good he was on the field and the lack of choices in FA and frankly in the draft I would do this.

Good news. Thanks for that.

perfect!!! great to hear... thanks!!!

Gurley can be special but the risk is whoever drafts him will most likely have to redshirt him this coming season. I don't think Miami is in a position to do this with our first round pick.

I agree with you, as I stated earlier in the thread, however I also agree with Hoops that's it's not off the table as an option either.

Delmas is solid but he for sure isn't playing 16 games. This year, there needs to be a better plan B when he goes down.

The main reason Delmas has injuries problems, is not so much his body is an injury waiting to happen, but more so, the guy goes 110% every play, and throws his body around with little concerns for injury, and more concern on just making the play everytime...can't exactly dislike a player like that. Great news!!!

Eric Rowe, CB/S, Utah

Height: 6-0. Weight: 204.
Projected 40 Time: 4.56.
Projected Round (2015): 3-4.

Rowe helped himself with a quality week at the Senior Bowl. He has versatile size where he can be a physical press-man corner or a deep free safety. Rowe looks like a corner to start and a safety if that doesn't work out. The senior played corner in 2014 and broke up 13 passes with an interception and 59 tackles. He played free safety during the two previous years and had 69 and 64 tackles respectively.

Delmas was a walking red flag even before a serious acl injury. Move on.

Delmas is rock solid.

Except for the fact he has a frail body in a violent game, I would agree. I really like him as a player when healthy, and the attitude he brings and all that, but we still need to draft a safety. I wouldn't be too upset if we go Landon Collins at 14, he and Reshad would be very interesting together imo. But I understand that there are more "center field" type safeties later in the draft we will probably target and would provide better draft value, because deep down I think White/Cooper/Parker are really our targets at 14. Just saying though, Landon Collins and Reshad would quite interesting especially considering like Delmas, Coyle kinda wants an interchangeable safety to run with Jones from what I've learned.

Delmas would be a good signing just have a backup plan ready

That's pretty old. Eric Rowe ran 4.45 at the combine which created a buzz cause most expected him to be more Safety since he played Safety for 3 years at Utah. He was among the leaders in the 40, bench press (19 reps), vertical (39"), broad jump (10' 5"), 3-cone (6.70), 20-yard shuttle (3.97) and 60-yard shuttle (11.48)...pretty much every category they keep a record of at the combine. He looked pretty good in positional drills too. He's got very good size for a CB (6'1" 205).

He's been moving up draft boards pretty steadily since the combine.

Good versatility and size (6-1, 204). Three year starter at free safety for Utes, and even made all-conference. Whittingham moved him to CB in 2014 due to shortage at position. Good day three pick.
