The NFL's cap is a hard cap that the teams have to stay under at all times, and the salary floor is also a hard floor. Penalties for violating or circumventing the cap regulations include fines of up to $5 million for each violation, cancellation of contracts and/or loss of draft picks.

Fun fact. Do you know Giants had to play one of their final games without the full compliment of players on their roster. They could not call anyone up from PS near end of season last year because they could not fit the player in their cap.

do such a bad team to be in cap hell is not a good look for them and a heavy lift getting them rebuilt for Schoen

24. Vikings - 2.4M in space (Hicks and Phillips not accounted for)
25. Titans - 720K in space (Moore Not accounted for)
26. Saints - 2.9M over (Maye is not accounted for)
27. Giants - 6.4M over (Board, Feliciano, Foster, Gono, Sills, Taylor not accounted for)
28. Packers - 6.9M over (Adams Tag is accounted for in this number)
29. Rams - 8.2M over (Allen, Shelton not accounted for)
30. 49ers - 9.9M over (Burks and Ward not accounted for)
31. Chiefs - 10.4M over (Orlando Brown is accounted for in this number)
32. Bucs - 21.3M over (Gage and Stinnie not accounted for, Brady and Godwin are)

There is a lot of work to be done by those teams on that list. Expect some players to be cut. Perhaps even good players
