Omg Aj Feeley Should Be A Pro-bowler!!!!!

Feeley was being said to be a possible cut, not only on here, but in the papers two weeks ago. We know our future QB prospect is found next offseason. We are not in rebuilding mode, we are in win now, and work towards the future as well.
......and you think that with Frerotte we are in the " winning mode? "

Damn! There is actually one of those in existence?

Wow this starting QB debate is getting brutal... Right when we signed Gus I said I just hope we have to go what we did last year with Fiedler and Feeley... looks like that's just what's happening.

2 to 4 yd passes, turned into more by nice receiving efforts. Watch the game before talking *******....

You trying to tell us the 36 yard TD pass was only a 1yrd catch with a rac of 35? lol. Maybe you need to get some glasses.

And before someone starts talking about the short passes, every QB uses them. Can't throw 20+ yards every play.

I don't care who starts, as long as they move the chains.

(insert sarcasm)... People, look beyond the numbers and watch the games. Feeley might be connecting, but it is against 2nd team defenses for 1 yard and hopes his receivers get some more for him. What has he shown? He can complete 1-2 yd passes, gus could do that if he was asked. I still think Gus is by far the best QB we have and STFU about feeley's completions, b/c a 3rd and 10 play thrown for 2 yds may be a completion, but it is far from a first down....

Yet Feeley has more passing first downs then Frerotte

I know, 1 TD against 3rd stringers.....

Dude he was throwing the ball to freaking Danny Farmer. His O-line, receivers and running backs were all 3rd stringer`s too.

Just admit it. AJ is has outplayed Gus the last two games.

I don't even know what the numbers look like because I haven't even looked. I watched the game. And what I saw was a much more poised and confident A.J. Feeley. He took what was given to him and went long when he had the chance. And he was more accurate than Frerotte tonight. That's not even up for debate. He was more accurate short and long.

I don't care who the QB is. I just want what's best for the team. But to say that "Gus is by far the best QB we have" is pretty inaccurate. IMO, Gus' advantage comes from his experience in the offense. If he was "the best by far", he'd have been announced the starter long ago. But we're heading into our 5th preseason game and we still have a QB competition. That's WAY to long to begin with. Especially when one QB is so far superior to the other. Is Saban harming offensive continuity for fun??

What people don't understand is Feeley has always played in a wco type of system where you throw alot of slants and short passes and let the wr's make plays on the ball and plays after the catch! thats why he feels most comfortable with quick read throws also all qb's I think like to go deep and when Feeley makes his progressions and see's the guy streakign down the field he can get it there and on target!

The only way the offense is harmed, is if Saban Goes with feeley, then he will have wasted three good weeks that Feeley could've used to get in sync with the first teamers. OF course Gus and the first team offense being in sync is also kinda laughable at this point...

I Wanted the starting QB to prove that they deserved the job and so far Gus hasn't done that, and as far as I am concerned this whole preseason looks like one big attempt to P**s AJ off enough to make him play harder.

gusketeers need to realize that gus has no future with this team. so why start him?

Gus gives us the best chance to win, from a personnel standpoint. ;)

I think one thing that isnt being stated ( for fear of being called nuts) is that Feeley hasnt just looked better than Gus - he actually looked GOOD. Period. I actually think he's taken his game to another level (I'm not going to argue 2nd string defense and all that. he had farmer and morris nuff said) He's not making the mistakes from last year - the picks are gone, he's not staring down his receivers, he's going to the second and thrid receiver, he's taking the hits but making the throws. This is very positive - If Saban does choose AJ i think alot of people are going to be surprised how well he does this year with an improved oline and a running attack behind him
