Once and for all, IT WAS A FORWARD PASS!

No way that would be overturned. You need conclusive evidence and none exists. It's not definite either way, but in order to reverse it, you need it to be.

We were an inch away from the worst loss ever.

It would have been criminal given all the illegal movement ahead of the snap, but not because of the lateral.

Head of officiating Dean Blandino on TA, talked about #Steelers final play: Ben lateral would’ve stood. Not definite it’s a forward pass

Those weren't his words, that's a truncated version of what he said.

What he actually said didn't make it any clearer whether or not it was a forward pass. He said "The play would have stood if that angle (the one they were watching) was the only angle we had to look at."

Isn't this the same guy who was on NFL Network a few weeks ago sticking up for the officials when they picked up the flag at the end of the Patriots / Panthers game? I tend to agree that it is hard to tell from that angle either way but this guy sticks up for the officials even when blatant calls are missed.

That's the question certainly.... It appears we're creating some work for LDaniel... I hope he can find the time!

I'm as interested as everyone else. Can't wait to see that and Ben's potential fumble from other angles.

yep and that's what the nfl instructs him to do...spin it...just like like mike pereira used to do when he was the spokesperson

I'm shocked him stepping out of bounds isn't being debated

Don't get Junc started on that, lol. He'll have grainy pics and crooked, squiggly lines showing how Sanders was really in bounds, lol.

Or, some grand theory as to how the earth moved off its axis at that precise point, distorting the field and creating an illusion of out-of-bounds, when really he was three feet in bounds.

You tell me. I said it was a forward lateral. You post 4th grade images making it seem like it wasn't.

and now the league agrees w/ my 4th grade images.

as usual the point flies way over your head but that shouldn't surprise me anymore.

Coaches film, unfortunately, wouldn't have been used to assess the play during the game. Even looking at those pics it looks awfully close.

Right on man. You were right for once. Congrats. I bet you even considered sneaking on to the internet at home just to rub it into people's faces. Which is an "average fan" tactic by the way. The facade of you acting better than the rest of us is slowly starting to slip.

That being said, had the League ruled the other way you still would have maintained you were right and everyone else was wrong. So enjoy your victory this time it was well earned this time. Hell, if I had some money and would send some cookies to your office.

If I rubbed it in every time I was right I'd never have any time to do anything else.

any time I am wrong you guys celebrate like it's New year's Eve, when I am right I don't bring it up. It was only brought up this time b/c of his childish insults/attitude which you are also displaying.

No. You don't have time to rub it in when you're right because you are too busy trying to figure out ways to change the subject in other threads to keep from admitting when you are wrong. That is the reason why we don't need to celebrate your mistakes, because it is glaring how often you are wrong. You're just too egotistical to admit when you are wrong and everybody but you can see that. Expect you.

How does that make you right? Had the play been reviewed the referee could've gone either way. It makes no difference what the league says afterward. The league apologized a day or two later for missing a call on the Ravens when they played Miami on a field goal attempt.

I've never been around such a conceited self-important flake like you ever on the internet. It's all very silly and pretty damn sad.
