Once and for all, IT WAS A FORWARD PASS!

Kevin Coyle just said in his presser something that was pointed out yesterday and should have been fricking obvious. THE OFFENSE WASN'T SET WHEN THEY SNAPPED THE BALL. Play was illegal from the get-go.

So absurd that this is somehow being talked about as if Miami got super lucky or something.
First thing I saw was the WR was still moving towards the line as the ball was snapped. If you watch the replay you'll see it plain as day.

i think it's karma the way the game ended with Brown stepping out of bounds. Makes up for the Big Ben non call fumble in the end zone a couple years back.

the 2 are nothing alike as you still had a great chance to win after Ben bad call while yesterday was the proper call and the last play of the game.

you did get lucky part of his foot was OOB or it would have been one of the worst ways to lose a game of all time.

Look at the ref standing on the 31 yard line. Watch him look at the release on the 32 and then turn his head forward to watch the catch at the 33.

That doesn't prove anything because the entire play happens to the ref's left and angles can make it necessary for him to turn his head to the left even on a legal lateral.

Who gives a ****ing **** what the call was? Brown stepped out, the defense will learn not to pansy around the field. Move on and enjoy the W

It wasn't luck , he stepped out of bounds because of clemons prescence, had clemons not been there he had no reason to toe the line.

If anybody is lucky on that play, it was the steelers.

Its too close to call. You go by where the ball is and not where the QB is... The better question is... WTF is Vernon/Wake/Carroll doing on that play? All 3 look like they gave up. Maybe Vernon and Wake dont have a chance at the play... But Carroll certainly does... And i do think Wake could have made a play on it as well.

Good play by Jordan almost taking Ben down.

Wake and carrol and the rest cannot abandon one whole side of the field so they can throw it on another lateral over there wide open right?

Let's address the zero effort posts:

Have you ever seen a soccer game? Do you see all the players running 100% all the time? No. That's because you basically have a zone. If the player with the ball isn't in your area, where do you run to? Towards the ball? If so, another pass will leave you out of the play. You have to keep your position!

There's a way to play this, but you have to be smart, not just dash madly like a 5-year old with no purpose. They obviously don't practice this a whole lot, of course.

if footing was solid he isn't OOB, it was lucky. it's ok to admit that. Good teams need luck at times.

The refs have had so many bad calls in every game this year,

I think they almost have been doing it on purpose after the NFL suspended that ref for the first time after cursing at a player

I was upset right from the start that the dolphins were obviously thinking the clock was going to run out before the snap and hence lollygagged around with their thumbs up there ass until a light switched on and they tried to defend the play. A yellow flag was thrown when the forward pass happened but picked up when it was realized that Antonio stepped out of bounds. Karma worked overtime on that play, the fact that the side line saved us and screwed Tomlin and at the 13 yard line of all yard lines. Thanks lucky number 13 and thanks Dan the Man.

That whole play looked silly and has no place in pro football. You should get to lateral the ball once on a play and that's it. After playing 59:59 of real football, the game comes down to a 5th grade game of keep-away? I like this stuff in pee-wee football - not the pros. It just looks assignine...

Just curious, but can you lateral all game like that or just at the end with no time left?

my guess is the speed of the game is just to fast for the refs. Players keep getting bigger, stronger, faster making it harder. The problem I have is when they go to replay and still screw it up like in the Ind-Cin game where they awarded Cincy a bogus TD

Not sure why this is so hard. Ben is running right over the hash marks. He releases the ball at the 32 and 1/2. That's where the ball is released with his arm fully extended. Brown catches the ball at the 33. Look at the hash mark behind him.
