Patriots trade logan Mankins to Bucs, possible good news for our dline

The extra weight JordAn is carrying, I don't see the ability to work in space effectively.

But to me its not designed for full time. It is a surprise coverage as they stunt the blitz. If the TE is on his side, he drops. If not he rushes.

I have only seen this a couple of times in a game if only once. situational football. I hear that a lot lately. I think from bill belichick.

I'll take hoops evaluation over your thoughts, along with the eye test. Its one thing to do it against a weak side TE, another thing against a athlete like Gronk. But hey that's too much common sense.

Oh I get it now. Im an idiot.

How do they not have better depth. . They are installing a guy that has started 51 games for them in his place.

Josh Kline? Not saying he cant play, like I said, they only have to hold their blocks for 1.5 seconds half the time. They must feel good about Halapio too but he is green. The big move they made for this was Wendell made the C and Connolly at RG. Josh Kline is the LG. I've read that Wendell and Connolly was a debate on who should play C but apparently, BB just made one of them a G.

So we have two guys who move around a lot who are diverse. Kline is next guy up at LG. Cannon is the swing tackle for both sides.

I would say this right now. NE will do fine with this through the season. We will eat these guys up on Sept. 7. I am looking for Brady to speed it up and hurry up offense because he knows this is how they beat us 3 years ago when they opened up with us.

Problem is, our offense has more power and defense is stout up front with excellent pass rush. One of the best they will face all year. The thing for me that sucks is Jordan being out because there is the guy who would have covered Gronk from DE position. surprise! Goodell took care of that for them.

Marcus Cannon is starting at guard for them. Also so Goodall fed Jordan the roids

Wright had 600yds receiving and 5 TD. Last year an a crappy offense. If that's developmental player then with Tom Brady he will be all pro. I mean clay only got 756 and 6 tds guess he was a JAG as well..

Or he can shoot and kill a bunch of guys. Really can go either way with NE tight ends

This has nothing to do with Gronk. It's about adding a talented move tight end who can line up everywhere. 50 something catches 571 yards and 5 TDs as an undrafted rookie catching the ball from Mike Glennon and Josh Freeman.. Brady will make this guy a star.

I bet BB just did it to piss off Brady again. Just like the Milloy deal.

So cannon gets bumped up to a starting guard...interesting we will see how he looks in a phone booth

So far the mumblings up here in NewEngland, are not very positive at all about losing Mankins.. People are not happy about the move, and me likey

And the Cheater even catches s*** from their own fans...they really don't trust him at this point? Must be the minority.

I'm extremely shocked at this trade. I imagined it would be a 2nd or 3rd, especially with Logan Mankins being one of the top G's in the league right now. Really confused at what the Patriots are doing.

I agree, but they seem to make questionable moves often (trading Moss, trading Molloy, having a QB that had not started a game since HS back up Brady) and still come up smelling like roses...much to our misfortune.

Our DL is going to blow their doors in.

and just think, no one knows more about Tim Wright than Dennis Hickey. Dude wont be ready in less than two weeks.
