I don't think you guys understand how this actually plays out in a coaching chess match...or what BB's intentions actually are.
Yes, Thigpen does know our calls and such, since he knows the entire offense. The point of signing him is not to learn those calls or learn our offense (that would be somewhat pedestrian and obvious). Teams plan for players being picked up by other teams by changing calls around. The move is to force our offense (and defense) to spend time making changes this week, rather than spending time on something else. It also creates more opportunities for blown assignments and confusion pre-snap since all your guys may not be on the same page. This is why both Jones (defense) and Thigpen (offense and ST) were signed.
The objective is not to learn about the other team (that you do through your own intel and study...you're not going to depend on some random players who you probably can't trust). The objective is to **** with the other team's prep time.
