Perfect example of how awesome the logo looks when positioned correctly

I do believe they will change the logo again within a few years. Even after a year, there is still a ton of backlash about it. I think they will try to take the style of the new logo and merge it with the shape and position of the old logo somehow.

The uniform still looks like dog****. The orange needs to be a thicker stripe.

There is nothing but nothing in those unis. The white ones are ok, because the are white,
and well, white is white.

So if the orange stripes were thicker, it would go from dog **** to what?

Also, they are a million times better than the bucs. So at least you can count your lucky stars about that.

The thing is, the traditional logo represented what happened 30-40 years ago. Sure, the Marino era was great, but even the hayday of Marino was mid 80s-mid 90's. We are looking at almost 20 years of mediocrity. Not a tradition I want to be associated with. If this team can start winning, then the new logo will also become it's own tradition.
So you discard "Has won" for "Will maybe win"?

Good bet

The early 90s were a good time to switch logos/schemes for the Pats.
They were pathetic, and moribund. Now, I think that whole setup looks
gay and like an arena leauge team.

Better than people starting to associate the old logo to mean a middle of the road team. Me included.

Doesn't change the fact that these uniforms look like dog****.

I was just trying to put sprinkles on a turd.

You understand that "What you associate" and "Reality' are two different things, right?

What have we won with the new unis?

Hope.

That's it, nothing more.

Up close, it looks pretty good even with the awkward pose. I like the new face of the dolphin, but the overall shape of the dolphin is where it fails. The shape just doesn't read well on a helmet or at small sizes.

If it were in a more symmetrical position it would work much better.

Overall, I agree with Walrus though. A Dolphin is a pretty crummy mascot for a football team and there aren't many ways to base a logo from it without it looking goofy.

A big M within a sunburst would be an improvement over any of our past or present logos.

I still think the old dolphin stadium logo would have been the best. It strips the dolphin shape to its bare elements and looks sleek, modern and still appropriate for a football team.

That logo isn't busy enough IMO. Imagine that logo on hats and t-shirts. You'd hardly be able to see it.

I do agree the jerseys need a sleeve stripe. Having just the logo on the side of the sleeve isn't busy enough.

the new logo is bland and lifeless, just an awful update or alleged upgrade to what was already the best logo in the nfl.

What do you expect when a lamebrain like Mike Dee picked it?! I still say the fans need to vote on a logo and the team should go with what the majority of the fans want. Do you hear that Steve Ross??

If you have ever seen a dolphin swim you'll understand what is wrong with our logo. That said not everyone has to live in reality. Dolfan's understand that:)

Everyone whining about the new logo, new yet traditional color scheme, etc. Say this outloud:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference

Amen. Now let's close this thread and move on.

The best logos are simple, not busy...

These iconic logos are hardly busy, and look great on just about anything:

The reason these logos are considered classic and work so well is mostly in their simplicity. A logo is a symbol, not a cartoon character.

Lol, what is reality? That Miami has been mediocre for too many years.

And calm down, it's been 1 year with the new uniform. And it's not just a uniform of men's clothing, it's a branding.
