Philbin was right to run out the clock at the end of the half.....

At the end of the day this team did what it has done for the last 41 years. They let us down once again.

Ozzy rules!!

Coulda, woulda, shoulda. I think he shoulda did what he did but ran the plays a little faster when he realized they were playing so soft and the running game was working, if for nothing else than to let our o-linemen smash the d-linemen in their mouths. And if the RB happens to break a nice run for a 20 or 30 yard gain then you can change course. Part of this though is Philbin was pissed and wanted to send a message, and he was already committed to that. IMO anyway.

It's the right thing to do if your a soft p***y HC.

We go from a hard ass doofus to a soft brainiac (supposedly)

The only bad result would be a sack resulting in a fumble or an interception that would have had to be returned all the way for a score.

Kind of like the play at the end of a half last year when we played Buffalo....Mario Williams strip sack of Tannehill.

Philbin is a quitter!

Any coach that decides with plenty of time on the clock to just run the ball is not someone I would want coaching the fins! Not sure if anyone else posted this already. Haven't been on this site in awhile. Hopefully at the end of this year he will get his walking papers!

If it had been 4th qtr with 2 minutes left I would agree...but it wasnt.

Andrew Luck had less then a minute left on the clock before half time and you didn't see them not trying to point more points on the board before half time. I hope Ross does something at the end of this year. I would love to see Brian Billick coaching the fins next year. Not sure why he hasn't returned to coaching. I think he is a great coach!

So which is it dude, philbin is a quitter or RT sucks?! If your QB sucks you dont take the chance? So in that regards it was a smart move. It sounds like you're not sure who to blame, but you're the loudest about it.

I thought we covered this ground already in the 25 page thread that's still alive and well

Agreed. But as it turned out even a 9-7 halftime deficit would have been insurmountable. So the performance of the team in the 2nd half was more responsible for the defeat than Philbin's strategy and the end of the 1st half.

What was really insurmountable was the loss of Moreno: his leadership, running, ball security, pass protection, receiving ability, etc.

It sure turned out to be....

I'll take the loss of Morino for 2 cents. In the 1st game he seemed to lift the team on his shoulders....Wake too. We're really going to miss his running style.
