Phins OL Looking Better Today, and With Options

Great idea. But can Miami be enticed or bold enough to try something like that. With Mack at Center, Pouncey at LG and Smith at RG, the run game could be devastating. It would solidify Miami's Offensive Line for the next 4-5 years!!!

Just a pipe dream. IF it happens, I'm buying lotto tickets. lol

Everyone needs to get off the move Pouncey to guard train. That press conference with Albert is all that should have been needed to express how strong the dolphins feel about Pouncey at center. They contacted Smith probably asking him if he would be inclined to play Guard. Mack wont sign an offer sheet to play guard either or that would be one expensive guard.

The line still needs a ton of work. Not criticism, but stating the facts.

For a "SHOCKER" howzabout making Mack a big offer to see if Cleveland matches in a week. They gave him a transition tag but, it is one where they can match any offer but, will get no picks if they do not.

How much freaking money do you want to have tied up in offensive lineman? There is no reason to panic. The offensive line will sort itself out after the draft. I am sure the Dolphins are going to address it during the draft and they will be looking at unrestricted free agents that were not drafted and at veterans that may be released after the draft. After all of that someone will emerge to fill out the two or three remaining positions on the starting offensive line. They may also feel that someone already on the roster will develop enough to earn one of the starting spots. To have a really good offensive line it is not necessary to just throw money at it. Teams find players in the later rounds of the draft or un-drafted guys that go on to be really good starters all the time. You need some "cheap" players starting for you to keep your salary cap situation in line.

Signing Mack would be ideal. POUNCEY is a free agent next season, and who knows if he's gonna be suspended at all this season.

I would expect maybe 1 or 2 more vet signing for the OL followed by the draft and maybe a couple more guys signed for training camp competition.

I hope for Mickinne back because he wants to finish his career in Miami but IDK if he wants to finish as a backup to Albert, but i would assume his options are limited. There are still lots of names out at RT and Guard that we can find a guy or two to bring in for stop gap guys or just the chance to show what they have. Not to mention Brenner was an undrafted rookie last year and with some experience could thrive, Dallas Thomas could be a shocker to compete after learning the NFL style game, Garner is a decent backup plan as well.

We still have to draft at the very minimum 2 offensive lineman in this draft.. Martin in the first and one later in the draft. Can't depend on Dallas Thomas and Brenner if Albert goes down... And undrafted free agent lineman are not the way to go, unless you liked seeing the QB go down all year long, even with weapons...

We've done enough with the oline not to handcuff us in the draft, but one more big addition at RT would completely free us up to go BPA. Which is hopefully Pryor or Ebron.

I have no clue as to what you are talking about. Pouncey is on his rookie deal, Albert costs $4M this year, and Smith is likely around $2.5 M. That's nothing.

Agreed. We passed the Danger Zone, one more would be great, two more would be SUPER!!!

I think first round pick if it were to happen tomorrow could be: OT or CB or S or MLB

One of those 4. If Mosely falls he will be the pick. I think Hickey takes BPA from one of those 4 positions.
