Potential OLine?

the dunlap example is one thats hard to ignore by any chance do you know what that fat contract was with san diego and the duration???

Actually I was wrong about that part. Thought he had signed for reasonably big money but it was only 2 years, $3.95 million.

well there goes that... i was wondering why those contract terms if they were big escaped me...imo betting on 6 ft 9 tackles is more than just risky

Hey hoops, if we do go with a guard at #19, you think there is any chance that TE Niklas from Notre Dame will still be on the board in the 2nd round? I think he's just what the doctor ordered for us at the TE position.

Baltimore gave up a 4th and 5th in 2014, does anyone really think they are going to let Monroe walk away from them? If they can't work out a contract they will franchise him.

Ever heard of compensatory picks?

should be. He is a great blocker. Also can run had a 66 yard TD on a seam pass vs Temple. Plus tight ends get way better in the NFL. Campbell could make this guy a very good player.

His size is impressive. I don't think he is going to be the next Gronk, but I think he could be an amazing complementary piece for Charles Clay.

agreed. Kyle Rudolph type player. (not just cause they are both from ND). I would be really happy if we drafted Martin in the 1st and Niklas in the 2nd.

there are so many factors that go into it, hard to say, but I would expect at least a 4th.

Do you have any idea what a comp pick entails? It has nothing to do with one player.

That's why I said in the post above there are way to many factors to determine. Playing time, free agents you lose, free agents you take in... a lot more factors than that. Those are just a few. But yes, losing a player like Monroe would definitely help you earn a comp pick.

Definitely a Niklas fan. Not sure if I'd rather go Martin-Niklas or Amaro-Turner/Yankey/Xavier.

Niklas is exactly what this offense needs. Amaro isn't a better blocker than Clay. Niklas is the best blocking tight end and a huge threat in the end zone. Martin + Niklas would be great
