Pouncey has hip surgery out possibly 3 months

WTH? Where did this come from?? I stopped by for some non-news to pontificate about something insignificant and wow there is major (bad) news.

If that's his aim, just another reason that we should have been proactive and found his replacement this year instead of next.

I know that Spesh and yourself were a couple of the few that were singing that tune. I suggested that C from FSU..... Stork. I believe he fell all the way to round 4. There were several other players available in those middle rounds. Like you, I wouldve traded Pouncey for obvious reasons and spent the pick on one of those centers.

But, Hoops...... youre getting real in this thread. You know on FH that warrants some "no thanks".

Like I said at the time, anything short of 7 o-linemen and the draft was an epic failure.

Some of you worry too much, let things play out and play one game first jeez. Every team has injuries they are professionals and will find a way to make it work.

we need to know more about the actual injury and repair. torn labrum in hip is an arthroscopic repair (dr. philipon in vail) and rehab should put him back in action near the season opener i would think. if he also damaged the cartilage and needed microfracture then he's non weight bearing for 2 months,,,, then rehab. So we need details yo.

Well, ****... I get off work and come to finheaven expecting the same old slow news and I get this. I could swear I read Omar talking about how Pouncey was killing it as usual.... This is just weird.

Oh grand wizard tell me how you know exactly whats going to happen? Seriously almost sounds like you want to get on your high horse so you can just say "Oh look at me I was right" get out of here with that.

If he's out for a while, he's out...oh well, nothing we can do about it. We had a garbage OL last year. We're used to it.

I'm not overly torn up about this because honestly I didn't have many hopes for this season to begin with. I don't think this is a playoff team, so my interest is only in seeing Tannehill develop. That's where this injury actually bothers me a bit more. If the OL once again makes it difficult for Tannehill to show progress, that will bother me since then we will go into a contract year STILL not knowing what we have in Tannehill.

We are/were a year away even with a healthy Pouncy and a great offensive line coach from finding about RT playing behind a adequate line. IMO with Albert also injury prone I would have resigned Jerry as insurance for guard and tackle plus continuity.
