The Patriots waived OL Chris Barker and claimed DB Don Jones off waivers from the Dolphins, per NFL transaction wire.

smh

Mother****er!! You think you're just imagining things and there is no way they can really be claiming players just to download info but its just too obvious at this point.

wait....Jones is not from Rutgers! wtf is BB doing?

However, last year A.J. Francis said the Patriots didn't put him in an interrogation room and download him. Wasn't like that.

You would think Belichick of all people would understand that the league has an issue with gaining information on your opponent through illegitimate means. Its unethical, plain and simple. The problem for the league is there isn't really any easy solution to stop it that would be fair to the players. The problem for Belichick is the information seems to have become a crutch for him to the point that he's willing to throw away roster spots and take poor value on trades for it. And he doesn't even care if it looks obvious anymore. Shula got his hands on the other teams playbook once and didn't even sneak a peak. Belichick in the same situation would have never let that book out of his clutches...

Well I hope Don Jones understands the Pats want nothing to do with him in the long term and if any team is going to be offering him a spot more than any other team it will be the Dolphins.

If you think the Dolphins have never trafficked in playbook information about opponents from its current players then you're sorrily mistaken.

Six days before meeting the Dolphins in the regular season opener, the Patriots have added an ex-Miami defensive back.

The Pats were awarded second-year safety Don Jones on waivers from the Dolphins on Monday, the club said.

The 24-year-old Jones notched a team-best 11 special teams tackles in 2013 for Miami, according to club statistics. An Arkansas State product, Jones was a seventh-round pick of the Dolphins in 2013.

Jones’ addition gives the Patriots six safeties. He is listed as a third-stringer behind Duron Harmon on the club’s depth chart. And, of course, Jones brings an intimate knowledge of the Dolphins to Foxborough.

In a corresponding roster move, the Patriots waived second-year offensive lineman Chris Barker.

The Falcons have added WR Freddie Martino and TE Kyle Miller to their practice squad. #RiseUp

When you can't use cameras and wiretaps you have to use something.

Oh ya, Don Jones was so intimately in tune with our offense. That's why he got cut, because all that intimacy turned him into a world beater practicing against them. LOL

DE Gerald Rivers replaced DE D'Aundre Reed on Dolphins practice squad
12:13pm - 2 Sep 14

Just saw this on Abramson twitter. No idea who Rivers is but figured I would share.

Every year the Patriots take a final cut from the Dolphins just to get our playbook. This year it's the social media back lashed Don Jones.

Hopefully Lazor installs some nice game changing wrinkles now that the roster is set and before we play the Cheatriots.

You know ... kinda like we installed the Wildcat late and thumped Billy Boy in New England.
