Qb Easton Stick Footage

I don’t know what round he goes in, but I’m happy CK and Barry Jax have both linked him to Miami. I’m not able to judge his velocity or ability to rip it, but I like his ability to move around in and around the pocket and buy time for further progressions. We’ve lacked that attribute for twenty years.

Most rags have him somewhere late in Day 3. I don't know if that's where the NFL has him though.

What do you think of trading back in round 1 for an extra pick or so on day 2, and then using one of those picks to take Stick? It might be a little early, but at least we get our guy and we aren't using one of our original picks to get him.

Agree. Seems like he has good pocket awareness.

I like the idea of trading back to acquire picks regardless but yeah, taking Stick somewhere would make me happy.

That doesn't change my mindset about 2020 quarterbacks, mind you.

I just don't see it with Stick. Hes just on a very good team, which is much better then its competitors

If Miami doesn't move up for Haskins, which seems like a bit of a pipe dream, Stick would be nice.

I"m take Stick in the 5th. Just a quick viewing of the highlights, when he misses he's got happy feet. much like a 3pt specialist feeling the defense closing. coach that out of him and he could be quite good.

Need more study

are you high on tua? the kid scares me. against top 30 defenses he is very average, and that's with all the talent around him. seems to me he has trouble with post snap reads. he will have to do a lot to convince me he is the real deal. who do you take next year or who are your top guys?

I don't think he's ever really average, even against those top defenses. But I'd have liked to see him kill it. I felt like when Kyler Murray faced Alabama there was a period of dizzy, punchiness, but then before the half was even out, probably only took three drives and then he was unstoppable. It's why Nick Saban said that with all due respect to Trevor Lawrence, it was much harder to design a game plan against Kyler Murray. I'd have loved to see the same thing from Tua against Georgia or Clemson, sort of an initial shock, then figuring them out and throwing it into overdrive.

But Tua is a lot younger than Kyler. And Tua is special.

We're just never going to get a crack at Tua Tagovailoa so I don't know if he's worth all that much of my attention.

I've seen this posted several times. Tua faced what was by far the best two defenses in the country in Clemson and Miss. St. He faced 5 of the top 25 defenses in the country.

No other quarterback in the country competed against, or played anywhere near the defenses Tua did. When I say not close. I mean not even in the conversation.

My question is this - who is the quarterback that just goes out there and shreds top 30 defenses every week? Take your time. Go as far back as you want to....couple of years, 5 years, 10 years, 15 years. I just want to know who this quarterback is that did this and convinced everyone he was the real deal.

i get you are a bama fan, but it seems like you took what i said personal... look he has to do alot for me to be wowed due to the talent around him. do i think he is good? absolutely! but i have not been convinced he is the next coming like so many think. i just dont think he is a sure thing like so many do. i need him to wow me this year, to be completely sold. my question is ... is he making the players around him better, or are they making him better? my biggest issue with him is his post snap reads. when he played against teams that can match bamas talent he was average, which is what he will face every sunday.

He's not arguing this because he's a Bama fan.

But I also don't know that this needs to be Active Venue #5 for more Tua Tagovailoa debate.

No I simply read your post and applied the same logic towards every other quarterback that has come out of college and asked a legitimate question.

I'm asking what quarterback faced top 30 defenses consistently and shredded them to prove to everybody they were the real deal? What top 30 defenses did Tua face and play so average? What's wrong with his post snap reads? I'm just asking questions trying to learn something that's all.

Is he making the players around him better? Well let's see - Alabama broke their all time scoring record for points in a season by 100 points last year - Tua's first year as the starting quarterback. Set all Bama's passing records in his first season. Led a team that was the first since Princeton in 1890 to beat all regular season opponents by 20 or more points. Threw the ball to Jerry Jeudy well enough to win the Biletnikoff Award.

Look, I don't care who likes Tua or who don't. I hope like hell he never has to put on that abortion of a uniform that belongs to the Miami Dolphins. I'm just asking for you to provide some context to what you're saying. Or don't. Either way is fine with me.

You know, I always assumed you weren't a Miami Dolphins fan.

But now I think you are because you sound just like 90% of Dolphins fans I come across nowadays...
