Rank Tannehill Among Young QB's?

You guys do realize the jets made it to 2 AFC championship games with buttfumble...doesn't mean he's good so u can just cut the **** about playoff records

I'm not a homer I just am giving my opinion based off watching both guys play, tannehill is a better qb...kaepernick is better at running its very simple. I'm not a homer because I look at the big picture...you guys base everything non stats and records...I base it on what I see, sorry if u don't agree with me but kaepernick sucks put him on the browns or the dolphins and he would be exposed

Here is the hilarious part. Many of us rank Tannehill highly because of how he performed surrounded by crappy talent. You have to be a bigger homer to believe the rest of the offense was anything but terrible.

Yea but kaepernick won a playoff game by himself, hes so good he snapped the ball to himself then threw it to himself

I didn't even bother to mention two commonly used stats to grade QBs - passing yards, and completion %.... These guys are sad.

Anyone who says kaepernick has a 4-2 playoff record loses any kind of credibility....its so stupid to say and use as a basis to judge a qb

I can laugh at these clowns nonsense bs all day

Lol what's next kaepernick is better cuz he has a bigger penis....the **** I read on this site is ridiculous

FWIW, even I think Tannehill is slightly better than Kaepernick.

Kaepernick is one of the most overrated players in the league. I have no doubts that if S.F had made the correct decision and stuck with Alex Smith they would have won a Super Bowl.

Nobody is purely basing it on playoff records. You keep saying he sucks as a passer, but his passing statistics say he doesnt. He may not be a good passer when his running is neutralized, but thats not an easy thing to do as a defense.

Essentially you guys arguments come down to "Tannehill is better than Kaepernick because...because of reasons."

All youve got is that you watched them play and just know that Tannehill would be better with a similar supporting cast. Well, I can use the same argument with Chad Henne and have just as much (nothing) to back up my position. Henne has never played on a team as talented as the 9ers either. Would he put up all star numbers there?

Total BS. Tannehill was ranked ahead of Kaep by an organization (PFF) that makes its money by rating players. That rating system attempts to isolate the play of the individual players rather than looking at the performance of the offense as a whole. You don't have to agree with PFF's rankings but to pretend they don't exist is just bullsh1t.

SOME of his passing stats say he doesn't suck. Others say he does suck. My eyes tell me that I do not want him as my QB at the end of the game with my team trailing when there isn't time for him to run around.

As it stands right now I'd rather have most of those guys instead of Tanney. I'm hoping he proves me wrong this season but he has a long way to go.

That should end any discussion and/or debate.

I have not seen CK play a lot, mostly just playoffs, and vs SF, where I was not very impressed. PFF has him graded high on running but, only a little above average in passing. I believe the main reason are his struggles on short passes. On throws under 10 he was only 167 of 240, which is among the worst in the NFL. FWIW
