Real smart. Let's take a cheap shot on Ricky, and hope he gets hurt in the process. That way we can put all of the load onto Brown, an unproven rookie RB....

Please. We'd be much better off allowing Ricky to come back at his own pace. Having someone on defense jack him up would be very foolish in terms of our 2005 season. He deserves punishment, but what good will it do to administer pain in the process????....

PHINZ RULE!!!

nonononono u missed the point. not hurt or cheap shot. just one good knock to welcome him back to the teeam.

I think you guys are really mistaken. Players do certainly give "welcome to the NFL" shots to rookies but Ricky is different. He's clearly emotionally and mentally unstable and extremely shy. When he's on the field everyone respects his abilities and I think they will keep their off the field issues -off the field. Our defense (specifically the leaders from last year) - Zach, JT, Seau, Madison are no nonsense guys that just want one thing; to win. With Saban's no BS coaching style and the focus on winning byour leaders, I can't see anyone giving an extra hard hit.

Now some rookie may try and put down some big hits on anyone he sees to make a name for himself but that always happens. Word of caution to the rookies - If Ricky puts the weight back on and gets to camp at 225-235 then don't try and earn your reputation by attempting to rock him cause chances are you'll be the one walking away with the concussion.

I completely agree. Plus, what if JT or Zach were the ones doing it, and they got hurt, knocking them out for the season? That would be a really dumb move.

He's a running back! He's going to get hit on just about every play, regardless whether or not he's carrying the ball. He's going to get drilled in practices and training camps, it's what they do. All the guy said was to have one big hit on him to make things even. It wouldn't surprise me if it happened, I can see JT knocking Ricky on his *** once and smiling as he gets up.

You guys have alot of faith in JT and Zach getting a good "hit" on him. Ricky especially when pissed off is really hard to bring down. I would have to think that Ricky would put those two on the ground first!..lol

You guys sound like a bunch of kids with all of your payback garbage. Let's worry about winning some games instead....

I'll disagree, for Zach at least. Assuming Ricky doesn't elude him, Zach would take him down. JT may have a little more trouble, as he's better suited to take out smaller players... like Pennington, Brady, and Losman. ;)

I'm not saying they should. Just saying I can see it happen. If it helps the guys on the team get over everything, go for it.

Agreed. I'm sure it happened more than once but I only remember one really good bash that Ricky ever took from a defensive player. I can think of about 30 other examples of it going the other way around. Straight on head to head, I believe any of those guys would get hurt by RW. I am a Ricky(the football player) supporter but not a Ricky (what he did) supporter. Is there anyone in the league that is that well rounded. Quick, fast and can run through people. HE is just bad to the bone.
