I agree
@LANGER72 I would start Fitzmagic. Let's look at their performances last year … clearly Rosen has a lot of room for improvement, so why thrust him into a role until he's mastered the system?
We know that Fitzmagic runs hot and cold, so I expect the coaching staff to start the best player, and that's likely to be Fitzmagic. But, he's going to start to implode, as he always has in the past. At that point, Rosen should be ready to take the helm, with lowered expectations and support from both the team and fans. That's the perfect environment for Rosen to come in … with lowered expectations and full familiarity with the scheme, and with his teammates having full familiarity with the scheme so they make less mistakes.
I don't see the benefit of throwing Rosen to the wolves before he or any of his teammates have learned our complex offensive scheme. I don't see the benefit of setting him up to fail yet again. I don't see the benefit of putting him in when the expectations are highest and likelihood of success and criticism are highest.
Let Fitzmagic bear the brunt of all that. We know he runs hot and cold, so Rosen will get plenty of chances to run this team. Let's set Rosen up for success, or at least lower the expectations so he can develop. Start Fitzmagic, then bring Rosen in after the team has acclimatized to our new offense.
