Ross: Marshall was going to be cut/Other issues addressed

Whats more believable . The majority of sports writers and commentators have a vendetta against the Phins or maybe thats thier honest opinion on a team that has 4 losing seasons out of last 5.
 
Wow. I guess some of us are not crazy. We heard everything we have been saying directly from the horses mouth. Unless we want to believe Ross is lying.

have no reason to think he is telling truth, just more spin control. Much like that asinine story about his reason for talking to Harbaugh and reason for extending Sparano.

it was a good move of Ross, but in a strange way.
why don't they talk more & directly to the media.

Exactly. Shoot straight at the outset then dealing w/ fallout won't be as bad.

If memory serves; Wake had issues and that's why he went to the CFL?

I am glad Philbin is big on character. This IMO is why Coples IMO won't be selcted w/ pick#8.

It's two fold, and you have the choice of choosing which one is it. It's not about a vendetta. If you choose to always look back and preface every decision moving forward by looking at the last 5 years, then when the correction happens you will have miss it. Not saying you are wrong for basing you opinion in the all the losing we have encountered.

But this thread is on a fan getting insight into all the major decisions this off-season, which we all have glamored for. I don't understand why we have to re-track about the all the losing that has happened. The calendar year started in March, can we move on to this year already..

Wake's only issue was he wasnt a very good football player at the time, he has never been in trouble. messam has been suspended and arrested and pleaed to assault.
Much worse character than many on here paint Dez Bryant

Do you think Ross would lie about Flynn, and risk the huge hit if Flynn become a stud. Philbin does not seem like a yes man to me.and freakin Alex smith. I work with a die hard 49 rr fan and he was praying for smith to sign elsewhere.and Marshall, phones were not ringing off the hook. You are the key note speaker at a fund raiser for mentall illness, and you end up in a bar fight at 4:00 am?
 
And how do you think our new coaching staff feels with all this media blitz about no one wants to come here? I hope they have a chip on their shoulders. I know I would have something to prove.

I think Ross would spin anything just as he did last year when he gave Sparano an extension. Also if Flynn is a stud we look bad regardless . people can believe what they want but Smith did not fly out here just for the hell of it .

This protest made the organization look AWFUL in the national light. Try to understand that.

Ross & Ireland didn't like this protest one bit. It reflects badly on the franchise, the team, and the new head coach.

Ross calling this guy and giving him what he wanted was nothing more than a PR move to smooth this whole protest over. Ross identified one of the primary protesters with some tenure in the season ticket program and reached out. Fans think this was a good gesture by the owner and now they've kinda lowered their pitchforks.

not bad ? was this little pr move suppose to help the dolphins win or something? this little pr move does nothing to help the dolphins, maybe helps ticket sales a little bit but in terms of helping the dolphins in any way, it doesnt. Another worthless move by the dolphins, i guess this is the best they can do to try and fill seats, give fans phone calls and persuade them into thinking the dolphins are going to be winning. Again, stop talkin and put a winning product on the field. THats all the dolphins front office do, talk talk talk, but no results. Keep drinking the kool aid though, im sure ross just loves it when dolphin fans drink it and believe anything that comes out of his mouth and irelands, hook line and sinker folks.

I never said it was a PR move to help the Dolphins.

I said it was a PR move to deflect some negative attention away from the Dolphins front office and ownership.

But you keep shoving words into my mouth if you need to.

Some people believe anything that Ross or the people in charge say. They chase harbaugh but they say they talked to him and decided that Sparano deserved an extension.
So either they are liars or maybe they are pretty stupid giving an extension to a guy with two straight losing seasons to pass on a coach that took the niners to brink of superbowl.
I prefer to think they are liars because the second part is more dangerous to me as a fan of the phins
