Ross: Sparano is the right coach and staying the course is right move

waiting for ck and some college ball reports on players we can draft. lol

This is basically just Ross being a 'hater'....

All he's doing is repeating what was said on here by a few of us prior to the season even starting.

Miami only looks like even more of a circus if they fire Sparano mid-season after giving him a contract extension... after trying to replace him with Jim Harbaugh.

Of course you "stay the course". Like I said, you let Sparano do you a solid and secure your shot at a franchise quarterback. Then put the boot to his a**.

Suck for Luck isn't nearly as hard as people make it out to be... all you do is keep trotting Tony Sparano and the Dolphins 1st string units out on the field every Sunday. You'll be amazed at what you can accomplish...

Staying the course is losing games. Nobody can do that better than Tony Sparano. Therefore Sparano is the right coach. This is simple **** folks.

stay the course always seems like a losing strategy

what did people really expect him to say?

Do you really expect an owner, a self made billionaire to be so clueless to spout off like people do on an online forum>? Do you expect him to throw the entire team under the bus to impress angry fans and really ensure no-one will ever play/coach/GM here ever again?

seriously people.

Ross' comments are completely predictable and should be perfectly expected.

No owner would be stupid enough to blab to the media about their intentions with the exception of Jerry Jones.

This interview is much ado about nothing, but a little PR.

I share the thoughts of most posters on this thread.

Ross is simply paying lip service here but he is also serious.

He intends to stay the course this year. and this year only. Tony sparano got a pay-day for the public embarrassment last season and it is chump change to Ross. No matter what, unless he quits, tony collects a few million. So Ross, does not make more of a circus out of us and sparano by firing him right now. he simply waits the season out, he pretends to "weight his options" and then he "decides reluctantly" to ask Tony to leave "for his own sake" Tony collects either until he gets a new job or quietly disappears for a few years, and Ross hires a new coach armed with a very high draft pick and an exceptionally talented Roster that needs a few pieces and some depth - and MOTIVATION. we go from a laughing stock last offseason to a hyped up "up and coming" this offseason. it is smart.

Good. Tony stays until the end of the year. Let this disaster run its course. Now if there was any part of the bull**** Ross spewed that he actually believes or he even considers bringing Sparano back next year then we are all so completely ****ed.

Are we talking about the same owner that put his GM on a plane and flew across the country to hire a ne HC....before he fired the current coach!!!??? While common sense would say he wouldn't, don't put it past this owner. Frankly a small part of me thinks, though flippin bat **** crazy, that Ross has not made up his mind to fire Sparano just yet.

luck would need a QB mentor and tony is not it

Tony would do wonders for his self confidence, though. Every time he throws a 3 yard checkdown on 3rd and 12, Tony will pound his chest like a gorilla as Dan Carpenter trots out to kick a 45 yard field goal.

ross: Sparano is the right coach to crap the bed for the #1 overall pick ~ and staying the course to attain Andrew Luck who I saw with my own eyes from the press box in the Orange Bowl game last January, is the absolute right move
