RUMOR: Developing Story: Matt Moore on the Trade Block !!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd at least like to see Guinn throw a pass or two before we hand him the #2 spot. Not saying don't trade Moore but is everyone comfortable with this guy running our offense ?
Yea i know if Ryan goes down we are probably done anyways.

To me, I think this would be a mistake. No one can tell me that Quinn is a better back-up than Moore. No way! Nothing against Quinn personally, however IF T-Hill is injured, do we really think Quinn can successfully man up?

Moore, being a quaterback, and a decent one at that, I think he should be worth a 2nd RP.

However, if this trade goes threw, I'd go along with a stout linebacker (hopefully one around the age of 25 or less) and perhaps a pick from the next draft.

Am I dreaming?

Like the rest of us, I sincerely hope the trade works out well.

Dolphins are not getting more than a late round pick or possibley an unwanted player for him. If Moore had as much market as some think then there would have been actual trade reports and he would not have resigned with dolphins when he had a chance at free agency

IMO i think its how bad a team like Houston OR any other team is needing a QB , i cant see us letting Moore go for nothing less than atleast a 5th rd pick , or maybe a decent LBer , and before i would just release Moore , i would keep him around for atleast one more year , IF we didnt get what we are asking , but i know he is better than Frits ,and Houston knows that to ....

The Texans could use him. I think he is better than Fitzpatrick.[/QUO

I don't think he is better , hell no team in the league has made a run at him to be their starter.
Moore is a backup as Fitzpatrick should be. Why waste any draft pick when they basically chose Fitzparick over other free agent qb's anyway.

I think he is a better leader and class act....I agree they are both back ups. I would rather have Moore as a starter though. The 2 things I didn't like about Moore is he struggled to throw for 200 yards and he never led a comeback with us despite multiple chances. If we can get something, I say do it!

I doubt Houston thinks Moore is better than Fitzpatrick. Im pretty sure teams around the NFL would be split. Hell even the dolphins who kept him have only used him as a backup. Houston paid Fitzpatrick two years 7.5 million why would they add another backup type qb for that kind of money.
Houston had chances to acquire better qb's at least in our mind than either player and that's the guy they went with.
The Texans did not guarantee 4 million to Ryan Fitzpatrick so they can acquire another backup. If they liked Matt Moore they could have offered us a 5th rounder a while back to try to make that happen.

Perhaps you're right.

I just shudder the thought of Quinn manning the Q-Back position. Perhaps it's no mystery that he was picked so late in the draft. And been around half the teams of the NFL ta-boot!

And if Moore is cut, Belecheck will claim him, sheeeeit.

Hope I'm all wrong on this one.

Quinn has been a bust and as backup im not thrilled but alos not thrilled in paying Moore 5 million. In no universe should he make that much as our backup qb.

True but we wouldnt have offered Moore 4 mil a year if we thought we was going to trade him at the time we had just signed him and teams didnt think we would talk about trading him , but times change and IMO i think Moore is a better overall QB than Fits , Not being a homer , just my oppion ,but if Houston thinks Moore is better , than they will be interstead , but if not and another Team comes calling , i would rather keep him for atleast one more year ..

Picked so late? Granted he wasn't a top 10 pick, but he still went in the first...

But about Moore, I don't buy the rumors truthfully, I'd hope to get atleast a 5th or 6th for him, but really don't see it.. No reason to pay a back up so much if you can get similar production for a fraction of the cost, though I'm not enamored with Quinn. But who knows what will happen

If your Houston would u want to pay Fitz 4 million guaranteed and then pay moore 4 million, makes no sense for a franchise that either way wont be good. Moore is not going to make them anymore of a winner than Fitzpatrick.

I understand completely what you are saying , but for the money i still think Moore is a better QB than Fits ,maybe another team is interstead , but still i would rather keep Moore ,which would be more useful to us THIS Year , than to just give him away , its not like we are needing the money this year for anything , i say we get what we are asking for , or keep him till next year than trade or release him .

Why don't we need the money for anything else this year. Our linebackers and OL are big question marks. Plus we can rollover money like we have done for a while.

zero chance this is true, makes no sense what so ever. The timing would make this the worst deal ever. Moore hasn't even played in a preseason game, so who would trade for an injured backup QB?? Quinn was brought in to replace Devlin, nothing else. Now if a team was stupid enough to make us an offer we couldn't refuse that would be a different story, but that won't happen. This is nothing more than a fan trying to speculate, and he's not very good at it.
