RUMOR: Developing Story: Matt Moore on the Trade Block !!!!!!!!!!!!

Why don't we need the money for anything else this year. Our linebackers and OL are big question marks. Plus we can rollover money like we have done for a while.

because we have 16 mil as we speak under the cap and we havent made a move thats enough to grab 3-4 LBers and very good ones at that , but we are at a stand still , we dont need Moores money this year to make a move , thats what i was saying , we can use the money we have now if we are to pickup another LB , and if we need to or have to keep moore than we can trade or release next year .

Maybe we want to sign another very average receiver to 17 million to match Mike Wallace this year lol

Nice to know that Miami is willing to gamble it's season on the rare chance its starter will stay healthy for a third year in a row behind a patchy offensive line. At least if Tannehill gets injured Philbin will get fired quicker. I might want to keep Lazer though.

If Tannehill goes down for more than a few games our season is done anyway.

I don't agree. Even if we're not talking playoffs, competent QB play should have this team around .500, which still provides entertainment value. If the team is turned over to Quinn or another second coming of Green, Beck, Lemon, Feeley, or Henne, we're talking a complete and total disaster of a season. I demand entertaining football.

Totally agree ... Do You really want Quinn to run this team if THill goes down ? Moore's a winner he's proven it with this team before when he's got the chance ...Quinn's been on How many teams the past two years ? done what ? Bad move to trade Moore ....But if it happens I hope he does start ...and The Fins get a Linebacker and a draft choice for next year

somebody in some basement picks up on some random rumor and voila - we now have a tempest in a teapot regarding one of the best back-ups in the league being supplanted by one of the biggest busts of the decade who if not for our 3rd stringer going down would presently be circling around the recycling bowl. ****ing ponderous.

See I think it is not possible to trade him because of his cap #.

I just don't understand the need to have a "vet QB" on your roster at all. If the guy doesn't have the potential to be your starter, he's a waste of space, IMO. Better off to tank and get a high draft pick than struggle along to a slightly worse level of mediocrity to the one we all enjoy so much.

We should be continuously drafting QBs till we find guys who are starter material. I mean, we've been burning high draft picks on linemen since Methuselah was a toddler and it hasn't exactly paid dividends. We should have drafted Bridgewater in the first this year (total bargain IMO) or someone else the staff evaluated as a fit for the system. If they fail, we should cut them and pick up someone else until we have two quality QBs who could start and be successful.

The notion that a vet like Moore, Orton, Fitzpatrick, Freeman etc etc is a useful member of the squad is crazy to me. The number of teams who can validly claim that they are set at QB to the extent that they don't need competition for the starting berth is very small. Look at the Texans with Schaub. They thought they had their guy and were content to roll with busted flushes like Delhomme and Garcia as backup. They threw a late rounder at TJ Yates. Why invest in the QB position when we have the great Matt Schaub? Well, now they know the answer.

Now they're stuck with the stellar QB corps of Keenum, Schaub and Yates, none of whom any sensible NFL team would be fully satisfied with starting.

Philbin loves Matt Moore because he's a positive happy guy who turns up to work and knows not to bite the hand that feeds. In reality he's a goofball who has the easy life. He should be whinging at Philbin to be the starter and busting his ass, but he knows the game and Philbin drinks that **** up. As soon as we get a decent QB evaluator in, suddenly Moore doesn't look like the indispensable team player he was. About time, IMO. Just a shame we didn't draft some proper competition for Tannehill.
