I do think he would be fine with the Lions though. He's a much better fit in their scheme than in our vertical game.

no. i think AJ will come in after gusn looses a few. play better than gus, only slightly, and become the starter again. or, be named starter next season, (depending on next years draft and FA/trade in the offseason). why would you simply get rid of him? at the worst, you have a backup QB.

Well...we traded a very high 3rd round pick for Gordon and cut him....So yes...I think we would deal him for less than a 3rd rounder.

I disagree. AJ clearly wasn't worth the 2nd when we gave it, and his stock has done nothing but plummet since. That, added to the fact that he'll probably be cut for cap reasons before next season, make his trade value less. I'd take just about anything draft choice-wise for him, rather than just let him go for nothing. Philly was offering something for Lamar Gordon which for some reason we turned down. We then cut him and Philly got him for nothing. I'd cut my losses with AJ and bring in someone else if you can do it cheaply (Rohan Davey, Couch, etc). AJ's been evaluated to death, it's not going to happen.
 
As of now, no team is going to give up ANY draft pick(s) for AJ. He has done absolutely nothing to prove he can play in the NFL.

Once (if ever) he's starts playing to his projected potencial then you might be able to get something for him.....but as of now, no chance.

i agree. but i think his value to the fins is such, that they would not be willing to give him up for anything less than a 3rd round pick.

which basicly means he will not be traded any time soon.

Saban has zero loyalty to what the last staff did here. I really don't think he cares what we gave up for Feeley.
$h!t, the Broncos just released Clarret after spending a 3rd rounder on him and he didn't play a single down in a regular season game.
I think at this point, we'd take just about any trade offer for Feeley.
 
AJ would, indeed be a good fit in the Lions system. We'll see how their season transpires.

Why would they give up a draft pick for Feeley when they have Harrington and Garcia?

Garcia broke his leg and isn't really a long term solution. Mooch isn't digging Harrington (that's why he brought in good old garcia). Feeley is most effective in a WCO like offense and might actually be a pretty good move for the Lions.

LOL Id trade Aj for a slice of bread and a mountain dew. If we got a pick, any pick, whether it be a 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th whatever, he'd have been dealt before he ever arrived here last year. Just get him out of here and sign Couch please. K, that is all.
