Got to hand it to Ireland. He probably approached Ross now that the team is on a winning streak. He did the same thing when he got his extension. Ross is not very smart.
The way this team has performed through out this season, there is a chance we could finish 7-9. Then what?
I hope we win out ...and then Dungy comes aboard and brings his own GM and OC,. That is the best case scenario going forward.

If Ross is telling Ireland his job is safe at 7-6 after blowing a 3-0 start and losing to bad teams like Buffalo and TB with years of losing and poor decisions under his tenure, he's not fit to be an owner. Why would he be safe? Wait until the season is over.

So Ireland blew to 3-0 ? Start? He called that horrible pass play that lead to that fumble against Buffalo? He was the one that showed up with absolutely zero effort in the first half against the BUCS? which coincided with Bully Gate?

He is safe because this roster has players balling all over the place.

We are a MEDIOCRE team that at this moment sits out of the playoff picture, and needs outside help to get in. I would like that to change at some point, and become one of the GOOD teams in the league that doesn't need outside help to get in. Get it?

So is more than half of the league. It's call parody, that's what make the NFL the #1 sport in this country. Turning over head coaches and coordinators and GM every other year is crazy. THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR SINCE 2003 WE HAVE THE SAME HEAD COACH, OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR, DEFENSE COORDINATOR, QB AND GM, for consecutive years. That's a decade..

You look at all the successful teams, it's continuity, they suffered through the hard times and stuck together and waited while their rosters develop. For once we should try the same thing..

This is a list of second and third round picks that Ireland has made....this is where you build your franchise so you don't have to make huge splashes in FA....only 3 of these guys (bolded) are having an impact on the team this season and Thomas is so inconsistent I almost couldn't bold him.

If I disagreed with you I'm not a Dolphins fan? I'm not sure if we are in the right direction. If we go 10-6, or 9-7, and make the playoffs then maybe, but there's still a lot of incompetent things that this team does.

It's the incompetent things all teams do, except the one's with veteran Hall Of Fame type QB. Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Brees, and etc. All teams have issues and problems, you can scour the Bronco's message board and you would think everything is peach and creamy on the outside looking in, but they do have issues. Are their less than us? Of course, but their Hall Of Fame Qb has a lot do with everything..

And of course the 9th youngest team in the league, with the most inexperience QB starting at the helm is going to frustrated us. But the bottom line is the growth that will continue, when these young pups gain more game experience, the frustration will be less and less.

Because we had the 27th ranked secondary the previous year, had just picked up Patterson with 4 games left. Traded Vontae, Smith was a F.A. didn't have Grimes at the time, The play of Carroll and Wilson, was at times atrocious. And so on and so forth.
