Salguero: The reason the Dolphins did nothing on Monday

The problem I have with with Ross if this story is accurate is after the bad loss to the Bills I as an owner would have begun talking about a new gm and coach or at least a new gm with my people, not wait until they completely blow it against the Jets.

So true but Ross has done inept stuff like this during his tenure and this sounds accurate

Question: Are we any better or worse since he started some 6 years ago. If we are the same or worse he needs to go. If we are better keep him.

well he took over an 1-15 team so its hard to be worse but we have been basically a .500 team since he took over and have not got better so yes we need to make a change

I suspect that Ross is waiting for the NFL bullygate report to come out, which was allegedly being released this week or next week. If the report is unfavorable, Ross can quell the bad publicity by firing someone.

And once again, who is that person who consistently makes B moves who is available? And please dont tell me soninlaw Pioli. If anyone had listened to what this guy had to say at draft time, you would be wondering how the son in law got in the position he did. he is a son in law.

Just going to remind you. Jason Taylor wasnt that good his rookie year. yeah he was a third rounder from Akron. The kid is doing what is being asked of him. So this may be a good time to get back to Coyle and his defense.

Dude, fear of failure, in this case rolling the dice on someone new, is not a reason for inaction when you're mired in mediocrity. Inaction is the death of greatness. It is the curse of perpetual failure.

FTR ... I have never ever, mentioned Pioli. Not once. I am not a fan. I would explore DeCosta, Caserios, Kahn, Ball, maybe Wolf.

Which one of these know how to properly evaluate OL talent for todays NFL? I would start there...:chuckle:

not sure whats wrong with Pioli he did draft a lot of top level people for the Pats. made some good free agent signings and trades.
He was not good with KC but at least he has had some success elsewhere. Not saying it has to be Pioli but who keeps a damn Gm that has 5 straight non winning seasons except a bad owner

Maybe Ross was in a coma for the Buffalo game. Or the 58 sacks the offensive line Ireland put together gave up. Or the running backs who were completely inept this year. Or the linebackers who were far worse, than the ones they replaced. Or just maybe he didn't see this years draft picks, who made 0 impact at all. We got one stud this offseason, and that was Grimes, who if he was smart, would get the hell out of here, unless you sell the team Ross. Unprepared seems to be what you are best at. Here's to another year of mediocrity, and keeping up the Dolphins new tradition.

I just feel like the game got past him based on his moves in KC. I could be wrong, of course, but that's why I'm not a fan of bringing him in. Just me.

Not sure it passed him by but I think he is deserving of another shot. I would prefer LaCosta but I think Pioli would bring us a good staff

simply asking a question and an important one. You cant "roll the dice" and expect different results. Randy Mueller is my biggest fear.

Wolf is an old man is he not? Retired for good? Consultant type now?

The only guy I see fitting with Philbin is Ball. I know you advocate getting rid of everyone. Gaine to me could do it for one year.

Tannehill is the stickler here for all involved.

ok so he was good with the pats. ever consider why that is? alot of players look better with coaching and PB QB. He took his show on the road and came up with Cassell the BB castoff while laughing all the way to the bank. He didnt draft a QB. He took a backup. Dlockz, what happened to you? You seem to have lost your ciritical pizzaz.

Of course you can roll the dice and expect different results, it's doing the same thing over and over and expecting difference results that's [definition of insanity].

Wolf the younger.

Ball I like.

Gaine/Phailbin will only mean next year we're at it again. IMO.

Tanney is here for one more year IMO. New GM or not, he'll get a chance to see what he can do without Sherman.

What a clown. Ross...your team/investment just lost to Buffalo. Your finger should've been on the trigger immediately after that!
