Satele isn't that good but would come in and be the 2nd or 3rd best lineman on the team right now with Pouncey hurt. That's sad.
 
I would bring him in. He could learn the offense fast and snap the damn ball. Plus, Smith could go to RG which is a better position for him than C. I think line could at least be somewhat serviceable.

HAHA. What kills me are those posters who just flame and say someone sucks, but contribute nothing intelligent to the board or to offer any cogent solutions. The bottom line is that the QB/center exchange and the shotgun snap are perhaps the most important elements of successful offense and very few seem to see the importance of it. Right now we have no one who has shown they can consistently get those right. You cannot just put someone who has been a guard his whole career and expect things to go well. Satele might not be the power blocker he once was, and in a zb scheme it might not matter anyway, but he has proven he can consistently snap the ball to the QB. Armando is right this time.

Satele is a PROVEN NFL veteran who has started many games at C. We need someone competent. Satele is our best option thanks to the our FO and Philbin being clueless during the offseason.

I wouldn't be surprised if Aponte isn't working on a Setele or Cook deal. I don't trust Philbin's judgement much but I bet Benton and Lazor are all over this at this point.
 
To be honest... I haven't followed nether Satele nor Cook much . Those of you who have...who do you think will be better for our Lazor run WCO.

anyways, it certainly seems time to get Larsen in with the second team and get some reps. Whether you sign someone or not, you need this guy to be seen what he can do. You start Garner but Larsen in bull pen.

Do you believe Satele can cut this time around in the East?

His first go around, was less than stellar. Wilfork I'm sure is looking forward to such an acquisition in the division.

so let me see, you dont trust philbins judgment, but, you trust the judgement of benton and lazor, two guys philbin judged to be the correct replacements of sherman and turner.

something is a bit off with that.

oh? thats news. as i havnt read one thing about him ANYWHERE!!

so, why is he not going to make the team? did you hear something from someone or read something we havnt seen?

not a call out and not being a wise guy. if you KNOW something on him "not making this team" tell us! what did you hear and who did you hear it from?
