Say no to Flynn!

Matt Moore is a good backup and that's it.

Don't agree. If MOORE had GB's O-Line and weapons, I'm CERTAIN that his record would have been 10-2, w/a shot at 11-1, and that HENNE would have had at least 1 "W" (maybe 2). This team is A LOT more talented than some of you say. "Football people" (not fans or media) were saying that MIAMI had become the kind of team you DON'T want to play. Even w/o GB's O-Line and weapons, it took a miraculous performance by TOMMY BOY to beat us by 3, in his house. Take an honest look at the DALLAS, GIANTS, DENVER, and N.E. II games, as well as CLEVELAND. JUST BY ELIMINATING COLUMBO, those games are all "W"s, regardless of how late MIAMI's "D" began to "gel"...and regardless of anything else, really.

FLYNN benefitted from being in GB. He had Coaches w/a 21st Century mindset on "O". He also had a topshelf O-Line and "weapons" galore. And he DIDN'T have COLUMBO and CAREY guarding his right flank. I've posed a simple pair of questions here on a couple of occasions, that none of you apparently wants to consider. Simply put, how do you think FLYNN would have developed, and done when the time came, if he was here in MIAMI, and was stuck w/PARCELLSBALL, had coaching like SPARANO/HENNING/PARCELLS to deal with, had MIAMI's "weapons", and had an Albatross like COLUMBO/CAREY hanging around his neck? Once you've considered THAT, tell me how you think MOORE would have done in GB?

Blame should be placed where it belongs...not on the "Scapegoat of the Week". Only lamebrains do that!

Since it's Philbin's @$$ and reputation on the line as much as anyone else's, I think I'll trust who he thins best can run his offense. Maybe it's Flynn, maybe it's a healthy Manning, maybe it's sombody in the draft. Regardless, I know it's probably not anyone on our current roster. May the best QB win.

This is where you are wrong. You don't run a coach's offense because his 50 year old a$$ is'nt on the field. A good coach runs the player's offense. Just look at the changes Denver made!

All the changes that they made, for that fantastic 8-8 record

I think Flynn is good but good because of where he is. And the fact opposing teams have like no material on him to game plan for really. We can bring him here for a good price but we still need to draft someone in the 1st. I dont think Flynn does anything special tbh.

I don't get the example made here. Matt Flynn is a drop-back passing Qb, in the same mold as Aaron Rodgers.. There is no difference in game planning for him. His recievers are running the same routes they were with Rodgers under center.

It's hard to say how good he is but you can't deny the Packers have churned out some pretty good Quarterbacks, somebody in that organization has a QB eye. So he may well be a very good QB

if were not drafting a QB in the first round or signing a FA, i think i'll live with that decision, id just like to see them draft a QB they want to groom with special talent. someone like an osweiler or foles maybe. they kind of intrigue me as second round guys. I honestly think i'd be okay with moore or flynn or even henne starting again as long as weve got someone with promise waiting in the wings. waited this long whats another season or two... most of our good players are like 30 anyway now

Matt Moore is a good backup and that's it.
I don't agree. I think there is still some upside here with him. Other than Peyton, who I don't want, who can we KNOW would be better? Moore played as well as most of the starters for a good part of the season.

Were in a good situation with Flynn. Philbin has the inside knowledge of this guy and he should know if just had a few good games or if he can be a franchise QB. If we go after Flynn then we will know what Philbin thinks of him.

I love how people state Matt Moore is a backup as fact. Right now he is our starter and he took over the second half of the season and did as well as he could with crap on the right side of the OL.

Philbin and co. can make him even better with the decision making. Its not going to be about who we think is the "franchise QB" of this team, but who these people think they can teach to be great to lead this team. Matt Moore has shown nothing in his progression that he cannot do it.

This stuff is very unconventional to those who think you need a guy like Luck to take you year in and year out. Tom Friggin Brady was a 6th rounder. Aarron Rogers was passed up like the plague in the first round. And Drew friggin Brees was a second rounder with small size.

Perhaps, one of the very best things about the Philbin hiring, is our FO knows EXACTLY what they will be getting in Flynn. Not a blind squirrel hoping for a culPepper Nut, or somebody going for a Feeley. He knows damn well what we would be getting with Flynn.

IF we sign Flynn, I have all the optimism in the world that he will be a very solid QB. IF we decide to go a different direction, I think its for a very good reason.
