Should Ireland and/or Philbin be Fired?

Who, if anyone, should be fired?

They should go if the Dolphins do not finish with a winning record at the end of this season,

but

NOT based on

Martin quitting the team when the going got tough or
based on Martin's father dragging the Dolphin's team and the
entire NFL thru the mud.

Ireland should be fired for doing a bad job.

Joe Philbin should be evaluated based on performance at the end of the season.

Grown men who are supporting their families here do not deserve to lose their jobs over this stupid crap unless something truly horrible comes out next. Which it might.

Ireland needs to be shown the door. Philbin's fate should be determined by the team's performance the rest of the year and his involvement in this mess. If the report finds him guilty of wrong doing then he needs to go too.

I'll say both. Ireland because he is average at best and Joe because he has done nothing to suggest that he is the man for the job

we will have to suffer no matter what they do.if they bring in a new group it will take 2 or 3 more years perhaps to get the team they want.if we stay pat I don't see us getting over 500 this year

wait until after this season then evaluate. nobody should be fired because 2 friends use bad language

I can tell you iv gotten more behind my team since this incident because I feel like my team is being hijacked by a quitter who is trying to make a claim to keep getting paid for no play.

I voted for both of them being fired. I can understand the people who think Philbin should stay. He doesn't appear to be at the core of the Martin/Incog issue, though the fact that he isn't (so far) heavily involved makes me wonder how much of a leader he is. Seems out of touch, but it's not unreasonable to defend him.

Ireland, though? I can't think of a single reason to keep him at this point. Wouldn't even wait until the end of the season...fire this prick now as a statement, and start looking for his replacement, as well as the future direction of this franchise.

Devils advocate: Healthy cap, some extra draft picks, young up and coming team, very strong defense, potential franchise QB, acquires players for coaches style.

Not an endorsement, just putting balance there.

I wouldn't fire anyone over this Martin/Incognito fiasco... but I want them all fired for "football" reasons. This team has been out-coached in the second half of every game; the only wins were due to the occasional big play on the field, and not anything that can be credited to the coaching staff. I can give Ireland a pass for missing on some draft picks, as that happens to everyone. But, Ross wanted to see major improvement this year, and Ireland basically wasted the entire draft. Sturgis is starting, but everyone else was injured, and/or a "project"; including the #3 pick in the draft. The o-line needed upgrading, but Ireland only brought in a few banged-up older Free Agents. Even though Miami led the league in giving up sacks, the coaching staff made no changes in personnel or schemes to try and fix the problem. In fact, nothing at all was done until after the meeting with Ross, when Ireland got McKinnie.

Oh, and the person who decided to make Martin the starting LT indirectly caused this whole mess. Martin was too weak to be starting; he's more of a project than a starter. If decent starting caliber linemen had been brought in, then Martin would not have been under intense pressure to perform immediately.

Down at the half week 1&3, tied at half week 2. Won all three. Soooooo, think we out coached them. Occasional big play...called by coaches? Not sure you're being objective here.
