Shout out to the Offensive Line

Big kudos to Butch Barry and Frank Smith. But OL is Coach McD's bag too. In one of the features on McDaniel posted here, he said when he came back from being fired in 2011 with the Redskins, he had fallen way behind Shannahan, Lafleur, and McVey in QB and pass attack coaching. So to have somewhere where he was "on top", he glued himself to OL coach Chris Foerster for a year and learned an incredible amount about OL coaching. (Yes, hookers and blow Chris, but other than that here he's one of the great OL coaches in history) Since then he's always considered himself an offensive line "sub specialist". Needless to say, he caught up eventually in the passing game...and then some!

And they’re mostly the same guys as last year w a different coach. They are insanely better this year
I think a lot of it comes down to simple repetition... Jackson is way better because we stopped bouncing him from position to position and finally let him settle. Williams is in his second year. Hunt has become a permanent Guard...

The previous coaches were only focused on this week... always trying to cut and paste a line for one game, rather than for several years.

OL has been great and better than expected but let’s be real… They’ve got the easiest OL job in the NFL.

Everyone plays light fronts with safeties back deep and Tua gets the ball out Godly fast considering the yards per attempt.

I wonder if any national pundits will recognize we beat the pats by 14 with four starting olineman out for the game and half our secondary.

nahhhhh
When you put it that way, what an impressive win! Lol. But, you are right. Miami's been hobbling a bit but, at 6-2, have the best record in the AFC along with Kansas City, Baltimore and Jacksonville.
