Some teams would kill to be 3-4 right now. Stay positive and shoot for the wildcard.

I am switching modes at this point in the season, acknowledging this team isn't great by any means, but we're still in a position to go 10-6 and get in the playoffs. Sure, it's been super disappointing this season, but I'm not ready to give up.
may i ask what you expect to do if we get to the wild card? get beaten by new england at new england a 2nd time this year?
Who wouldn't want to go the playoffs? The possibility decreases each week, but I would love for this team to finish strong and make the playoffs.

because going to the playoffs HURTS MEDIOCRE TEAMS...think about it, if we go to the playoffs that means we are picking in the draft after San diego, the jets, buffalo, and baltimore...

we need to build this team, i dont care who the coach is...right now we need another WR, 3-4 Olinemen, a TE, and at least 1 LBer, and they need to be starter quality...

what do we get out of going to the playoffs when this team cant even beat the bills?

3-4 isn't then end of the season. But when that 3-4 record was 3-0 at one point then the season is finished.

And the same idiots who mock fans for wanting their team to do well.

No one is mocking anyone, it's just funny to see people still holding on after seeing how bad this team performs.

Honestly, if finishing above .500 means another year of Ireland making horrible draft choices and personnel decisions and another year of Mr. Mackey as head coach then I will gladly take a 4-12 record.

This team has no chance of long term success with Ireland as GM or Mr. Mackey as head coach.

Are you talking strictly mathematically or are you basing that on something else?

well mathematically we could go 12-4. i'm using my rose colored glasses to think we might get our act together. 10-6, 9-7 would be a successful season at this point, playoffs or not.

the great bill parcells once said "you are what your record says you are." in this case i don't think you can describe the dolphins any better. this team could easily be 6-1, but it's not, because it's not a 6-1 football team. it's 3-4 and that's exactly what it is, and will likely end up as at the end of the season; a sub .500 team.

FinHeaven summarizes pretty well how ****ty the fan base in Miami really is.

"Oh bc you're a homer, naive to the fact, the dolphins sucks, FIRE Ireland, Fire Philbin, the sky is falling...etc etc"

STFU and jump onto another team's nuts if your so sick and tired of the Fins. Or at least quit posting it. Nobody cares how you feel or how well you think you could pretend to be GM or an NFL head coach.

Yes, it's true we are an underachieving team with LOTS to figure out. I'm not denying that for one second, and also not implying that fans shouldn't be upset or frustrated, because we all are. But not all of us feel like the season is over ESPECIALLY just one game out of the wildcard.
I swear some of you guys (gals?) on here cry more than a teenage girl experiencing menstrual pains for the first time.

Get over it and focus on beating the Bengals....What else can we do? Oh wait...cry some more right?

They were dominating that game at half time.

Mckinnie is a HUGE improvement no doubt about it, they need to win their remaining division games.

They need to catch some breaks, and SOMEONE needs to get Tannehill to learn how to hold on to the pigskin when he gets sacked.

They never gave up, they just got bad calls in the 2nd half. The biggest problem now is Philbin losing the locker room IMO.

For us to go 10-6, we have to win seven of the remaining nine games. Pick the seven wins:

Bengals

Bucs

Chargers

Panthers

Jets

Steelers

Patriots

Bills

Jets

I will be as happy as anyone if we get to 10-6, but I'm sure not getting my hopes up. Not after the Pats spotted us 2 TD's and then kicked our butts.

Lots of lulz in this thread, but this might be the funniest part, considering it's coming from a Dolphins fan's perspective.

im hardly ever serious and often sarcastic. translation: **** bill parcells.
