I don’t think this is a metacarpal fracture (bones in hand), but a phalange (finger). Everyone has referred to it as a finger break, which heals in 4-5 weeks provided it’s a closed break - and if the bone in his finger was protruding through the skin, I’m sure we’d have heard about it.
