Still missing Lamar Miller?

I cannot believe someone is still arguing on behalf of Lamar Miller -- at 5M per no less.

His production during 4 seasons in Miami never warranted that contract. And thus far he's accomplished nothing in Houston to prove otherwise. Sure, he's on pace for a career year in yardage but also only 4 TD's. His replacement in Miami already has 5 TD's.

If the argument is that we should have kept both, again, 5M is too much for Miller as the starter -- let alone backup. Damien Williams isn't as good as Miller, but he's capable enough that the cap savings for future seasons is more valuable.

:err: Considering what he has done in Houston with that line and "QB" is very respectful.

at the end of the day we're not missing lamar miller because our running game as of late has been producing and the run style of jay ajayi is harder and more bull-nosed which is helping us extend drives

Miller is the better RB, I have watched every game he has played in HOU. The guy is the core of their offense. He catches the ball a lot more as well. Houston's offense has been putrid to be honest.

I feel like Lamar would have been great this season too. So it's crazy to say I don't miss him, but I am quite happy with Ajayi's play. He needs to keep it up.

no I don't miss him and I never did

scheme based running game with a punch of tone setter at rb

At first I gotta admit, I did miss Lamar...I thought we let him go too easily without a real plan in place for our RB position. I had NO idea Jay was going to emerge like he did the last two weeks especially with the questionable start to the season he had, but boy he sure has come along nicely! Hope this continues and he (and our OL) can stay healthy. We need this kind of production from the running game if we're going to make some strides as a team going forward.

Can you imagine the possibilities of a two headed monster of Miller and Ajayi behind this current line?

I sure as hell can. In fact the last time we had anything close to that (Williams & Brown) was the last time we sniffed the post-season.

heres another prisoner of the moment... two good games and this guy comes out... let the season unfold and debate later... These threads are getting less original with each passing season thanks to you

No, I am not missing Miller. I thought I would, but his price was too high. I am fine with our current RB talent.

We're certainly doing well, but I can't dismiss what Gase could have done with an all-around talent like Miller.
