he was averaging below 4 ypc going into this last game.
Stating YPC tells me you didn't watch any of those games.

I liked Miller and Vernon, but they got WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY over paid! Would I like to have kept them both, hell ya....Clay as well the year before. However not for what they got paid. Maybe Clay, as he would be thriving in this offense!
Well said
Bottomline - some people think Lamar Miller was worth $5.5M per, and some don't. I don't.Charles Clay got more for doing less (and continuing to do less) and Vernon's contract was absurd to the level of not being comparable to Miller's. The former two impacted our ability to sign other players. Miller's did not. So again, the money argument continues to make no cents.

Yes he did. He's a Miami boy at heart.
Gase wanted him too, Tannebaum was the one who didn't want him.

i rebuttaled someone using stats by using stats as an argument. that's fair, right? i've watched as much of Houston's offense as my patience can handle.

Apparently talking about ypc is only acceptable to talk about when it makes lamar Miller look good.
So you guys have no context in which to evaluate those stats. Alrighty.![]()
Many were clamoring to resign Miller and were crying over not signing him in beginning of year too. So a quick comparison on how the guy we kept is fairing vs the guy we let go:
Ajayi

And lets not forget how much each player is getting paid as well.
What context?
Up until the Indy game the talk of miller in Houston wasn't look how good he is, it was whats wrong with Miller and the run game.
he's had one good game all season vs a swish cheese defense.
He's mirroring exactly what he was here, a nothhing special running back who blows up for a game or 2 per year.
