Still missing Lamar Miller?

I think calling Miller great is a bit much. Good yes, but clearly replaceable

Miller is king of the 1st down 1 yard runs.

And it wouldn't of made sense to pay him to be Ajayi's backup.

Well, Miller's $5.5M cap hit is more than Andre Branch and Abdul-Quddus combined. It's more than Jason Jones, Jermon Bushrod, Kiko Alonso, Michael Thomas and Marqueis Gray combined. That's some significant depth (and starters) that we were able to buy with his equivalent salary. Not saying we couldn't have gotten any of these guys if we signed Miller, just saying $5.5M can buy you some quality players.

We could afford all of them while retaining Miller. Vernon? Obviously not, but absolutely yes with Miller. Thomas and Gray? Err...awesome?

Williams sucks I dont see how anyone even remotely likes him. No vision and often gives up at the end and falls down or even goes backwards for absolutely no reason.

Watch the play after the 50+ yarder .. even the offensive lineman are like dude wtf are you doing go forward.

According to Football Outsiders the Dolphins have the 2nd ranked rushing attack (second to Dallas), while Houston is ranked 27th (yes they are 31st in passing but we aren't much better at 27th). Don't think Miller would have made any difference besides depth.

I know you're not a huge fan of Tannehill, but certainly even you can see the difference between him and the worst QB in the NFL (yes, including several backups), at the moment. Miller is 100% of that offense, followed distantly by Blue. And he's being used as a power back, which is a terrible fit, obviously. And yet he's still putting up the 5th best numbers against some top defenses. Yes, he's very good.

Its not a question of Ajayi or Miller. Its a question of Miller or Foster and that's a pretty simple choice as Miller is still playing and Foster is home resting. Maybe we may have won that Seattle and or Pats game with Miller instead of Foster also.

Its not really that simple either because one cost a cool million while the other was like 30 million. Also, Miller was dinged up in the game last night.

Miller wanted to go to a spot where he thought he could get 20-25 carries a game and he wasn't going to get that in Miami. Miami offered 5 mil but Houston gave him 6.5 and promises of an increased workload. Spare me the BS he wanted to be in Miami. Yes he's number 5 in yards but only 1 TD to his credit this year. He's a good back but replaceable. Would much rather have rolled with Anderson and Ajayi but it didnt work out.

we would be better w both. Jay is on a rookie deal. letting Lamar go was a mistake as we are one Injury from zero rbs

Lamar Miller was great, but we drafted Drake who could potentially grow into the same role. To do what he does best, Ajayi needs to be a clear #1 RB. He gets better the more carries he has.
