Super Bowl Liii Rams Vs Patriots

Games wide open both QBs playing ehh ball

Let’s go rams. It’s right there for the taking

jared goff is trash. brady hasnt been that much better. not used to seeing such poor qb play in the superbowl. lowest scoring 1st half in history.

The only one I saw he didn’t have time on he was sacked cause the pocket collapsed

I think his executions just poor in the first half

Whether or not McVay is asking Goff to do too much (which I suppose is debatable), it's clear there needs to be a change in the game plan in the second half.

If Goff was playing as well as he can, maybe this is a moot point and the first half McVay called would have led them to put points on the board.

But when it was clear Goff was struggling and -- likely -- feeling the jitters of playing in his first Superbowl, I'm not sure why McVay didn't lean hard on the run.

You are incorrect, Steelers-Vikings is the lowest 1st half in history with the score of Steelers-2 Vikings-0

So what’s your counter though? More gurley? I’m sure he’d love to do that.

Or empty and no huddle? Id try the no huddle to try and spark something

I don't know what's going on with Gurley. But if he's healthy -- like they keep saying -- then I think keeping him on the bench is downright criminal, because he could absolutely take over this game. If he's healthy you feed him, then feed him some more, then mix in a bit of play action and rollouts.

I have to think Gurley's knee is bothering him, though. It's the only way keeping him on the sideline makes any sense. If he's injured, I still think you go run heavy. Roll with Anderson. He's capable of doing some damage and wearing down the Pats front seven.

I don't think you go empty sets. The Pats have no reason to fear Goff right now. I think they'd love to see empty sets. No huddle might not be a bad idea, though.

When you do have Goff throw, I think you've got to find a way to scheme some high percentage plays. Rely on the run, limit Goff's reads, scheme him screens, quick outs and play action.
