Support for Incognito (Look at this board) explains why Martin was afraid to to talk.

Many of you are forgetting that what Martin did was pretty much career suicide as well. It took a lot of guts for him to basically ostracize himself from the locker room. Just like richie is done in the NFL, Martin is probably too even before his career ever took off. At least Cog made money. Martin will probably NEVER be welcomed in a locker room again.

Guts...isn't the word that comes to my mind.

There is more public support from Dolphins player for Richie than there is for Martin. That probably explains why he was afraid to talk. Blaming the victim. Like blaming the rape victim. "Oh she shouldn't have been wearing that." "Oh he should have fought him." In my opinion, The Dolphins got off easy, Martin could have went postal and bought a gun and shot everyone. Though it seems more people in the locker room and on this board would have respected Martin more if he did bring a gun and threaten Incognito, but than we would also had posters calling Martin a thug. So in a no-win situation.

Richie Icognito said on radio last year that he took Tannehill's credit card & bought a jet ski. I honestly believe Icognito would've intentionally missed blocks if Tannehill wouldn't have bought him that Jetski.

If I had the power to control Martin like that I should've forced him to give me a million bucks. **** why didn't I think of that?

You see this is a very HOT button topic nowadays, 'Bullying'.

Everyone seems to know it is important and MUST be addressed.

Offensive linemen get paid millions to SHOVE and PUSH other huge guys around for 60 minutes.

We are not talking about an uneducated child who needs sympathy and needs to be helped.

He is a college graduate from Stanford, both his parents are lawyers. Something is missing from this story still.

You know what's missing? The actual unadulterated voicemail.

I'm an equal opportunity hater when it comes to those 2, not biased either way. Incognito is dirty and has anger issues- true. Martin is a hypocrite and is just as bad as the man he's calling out-true.

Cut them both.

So the prospects of losing a ton of money and ending something that probably meant a lot to him doesn't take any courage? Just because as fans this does nothing good in the short term for this organization doesn't mean that we should be so myopic and selfish to not look at all angles of what is going on here. Incognito was a freaking meathead that at times was completely out of control. Heaven forbid a player didn't want to take his bull**** anymore.

I think it was Pat Kirwin that stated many players often tell their parents about BS or their agents and have them address it to the club. Said it happened often he would get phone calls about players not getting the ball enough or some other potentially trivial crap. The issue here is that people forget the NFL is bound to the same laws and the workplaces were work in throughout the country. This time though the players parents were lawyers....

I'm of the opinion that getting money is at the core of this....so No...no guts...shady,coward comes to mind.
but thats just me and the way I handle stuff, because I have a penis.

Because in the real world, that might be construed as 'EXTORTION', and its a criminal offense, so you know its wrong and don't do it.

Well since I was kidding, yes you're right. But it isn't anyone's fault, especially not us putzes on this board, that Martin is who he is and he did what he did/didn't do.

I have a few friends who played in the NFL and asked them about the 15,000 that was used for Vegas and it was explained to me that players receive fines (from their teammates of their position group) throughout the season and that money is then pooled together and used for a trip, party, or some activity done together...in this case the Vegas trip. I asked if 15,000 was excessive and they said it depended on the "fine".

I guess the real question is those that are calling Martin these things, would you really do that in real life? Internet warriorism definitely is contageous.

Bull crap. Not every 300 lb guy is the biggest baddest dog in the yard. There are people Martin could beat and there are others he can't. He can't beat Incognito, yet Incognito someday will come across someone who can beat him. Everyone is beatable, but a person can't beat all. Eventually a bigger dog will win that fight.

Sure if I was as big as he was, let's say the same size as Ritchie
