Support For Joe Philbin

I support anyone who's coaching our team and I hope for the best. I like Philbin but he really hasn't done anyting in particular that leads me to believe we're going to win a superbowl with him as the HC. Not saying he can't lead us there, just that he hasn't shown anything special. The hard thing for me was to see how we had 2 weeks to prepared to play the last place Bills at home and with their 4 string QB and we lost that game. If he's going to take us to a superbowl, he needs to win those games.

Ozzy rules!!

Agree but 10-6 with a baboon for a GM would be pretty special.

Fire him over what? Because big ***** can't handle his emotions...I dunno about you, but this Dolphins team is the best we had in a lloooooong time.

Sounds like the biggest Philbin supporter is Ross based on his PC.

It is such a joke if Ireland is the fall guy and somehow Joe walks. He is Mr. Teflon.

I do not think he is Mr. Teflon at all. My GUESS is that he wants to see if Philbin can rally the troops and get them into the playoffs. If he doesn't I am sure his new commitee will give Joseph the thumbs down and he will be gone.

Ross made it sound like Philbin is Mother Theresa, he clearly likes the guy a lot so he's probably safe.

Ross gave Sparano too much time.
Ross gave Ireland waayyyy too much time.
The joke would be Ross firing the one guy he may have gotten right prematurely.

I'm not even that mad at Ross for sticking with the bums too long, I would rather he err on the side of longevity for continuity and such rather than get rid of guys prematurely, but at least be consistent.

How about putting Egnew in the backfield in our own endzone so he can totally whiff on the blitz pick-up for a safety! ****ing brilliant coaching there!

reach me? Im right here.

I can't wait to see folks like you running around saying how great it is for Ireland an Co. to be gone as if you supported it the whole time...

i'm sticking with philben but the year in year out personnel issues time for the gm to pay the piper

I'm done defending Philbin. The team looked just as ****ty as the last time we came off a bye. Not only that but the ****ing Bucs did everything they could to give that one away, it seems pretty obvious some of their players are actively trying to lose every game.

The bullying thing doesn't bother me except when combined with the sheer crap that is on the field. We have lost 4 games where we had a second half lead and blew a large lead in a game we won by the skin of our teeth. The staff's performance is eerily similar to Chad Henne as a QB: inability to continue a positive stretch for 60 minutes, even after dominating an early game, ability to make enough plays when behind to have yourself just lose at the end, ability to blow any lead, inability to put games away when the opportunity is there to end it early.

Wins against Cincinatti, Indy, & Atlanta show that this roster, like many NFL rosters, is talented enough to beat any team in the league (different than saying they are the most talented or even amongst the most talented). The difference in us being that team most weeks and the team that is capable of losing to preseason caliber teams is coaching. There is no way you can tell me that the roster was drastically altered in San Francisco before Harbaugh took over, he just got a better result out of the talent that was there that had been losing games they should have won for years.

We lost a season despite having a 3 game winning streak. We lost all but the first of those next 4 losses because of extremely questionable coaching involving poor play calling and poor game management. There is no support for Philbin here, though I would have loved to be able to say otherwise because he seems like a good person and a person who can bring a lot of good things to a team in a different role.

I think bad talent is a bigger problem than coaching but I haven't seen anything from Joe Philbin that makes me want to go to bat for him. Clean house.
