Take the 19 Million and run ... straight to camp!

/me sighs

Some of you people have no clue what your talking about. If he takes that deal the #3 pick will most likely be far too close or beat him. The #1 and #5 picks got deals at a 15%-22% bump. The Dolphins are offering a 5% bump.

If you want to complain then complain to the team since they are the ones being cheap here.

JJ is on target. Pretty much sums it up.

It's a business. It's the Dolphins job to drive the price into the ground. And it's Todd France's job to get at least market value.

Drew said last summer that the Dolphins have some of the toughest negotiators in the business.

Take it and run with it cause the Dolphins certainly are not going to pay more

I hope you are right, I hope they don't offer him a cent more. As long as these front offices keep letting these agent push them around they will keep doing it.

I think you should go into your boss's office and request, no -- demand, a 14% decrease in pay before you say a darned thing about Ronnie Brown.

DAMN STRAIGHT.

Last year I only got a measly 5% raise and $1,500 bonus.

Talk about getting shafted huh!

Screw this I'm going to tell off my boss right NOW and if she doesn't budge I'll tell her I'm holding out as of 3 pm today until I get a 20% raise!

If they don't then he doesn't play this year. He'd be daft to accept such a bad deal and his agent would get no first rounders next year as Rosenhaus would steal all his clients.

It's a business and the phins are not holding up their end. If it was a 12-15% bump and he wasn't taking it then I'd say he's part of the problem but a 5% bump is an insult.

Good luck with that.

You should if everyone else in your office got a 20% pay raise and you only got 5%.

Yes, it is an absolutely ridiculous analogy. It came about due to the absolutely ridiculous post that inspired it.

That's your opinion Jimmy not mine. Comparing someone who is about to make at least $19 million dollars in one day guaranteed to someone who works 40-60 hours a week to make $100,000 dollars in one year, without gurantees is crazy.

I agree.

If the fins weren't willing to give him a no.2 pick's salary , they should've traded that pick by all means possible.

Miami has offered Ronnie Brown 19 Million in guaranteed money, he (or his agent) is demanding 22

What is it that 22 million will buy him that 19 won't? Certainly not the respect of the players who are busting their ***** everyday in camp for a fraction of that.

Take the money, live like a rich f@cking pig the rest of your life and get your A$$ to camp.

your right i hope he doesn't act like rivers

its not our place to "school" the agents guys like rosenhaus (sp) are slowly getting black-balled some his clients are sliding in the draft because teams dont want to deal with him....now that that has started happening his rep will take a huge dump. This agent for Ronny is just fighting for what his client is "due" in the current NFL market his offer is right in line with everyone else's. The only way this kinda crap stops with the rooks is if the NFLPA votes for a rookie cap and that is quite possible as the rookies dont get a vote :goof: .

Let's not cry about France here. If Ronnie wanted to take that deal out of the goodness of his heart or stupidity, I'm sure France would survive. He certainly doesn't want to get painted as a patsy who can't bring in the money, but it is still Ronnie's deal.

This is about Ronnie being satisfied with what comes. France is just a tool. (I figured I'd make that a sentence of its own for those who want to have fun quoting it).

That's the truth. It's not Ronnie's fault that the value of the draft has gone up 20% over last year when it should have gone up only 5%. He would be stupid if he took a 5% raise when everyone one else was getting 20%. He didn't dictate the % number, that was done with SF blew it and gave Smith that ludicrous contract, and because of that contract, Miami is going to have to go up on their offer... this will hopefully be resolved in the CBA, but until then, give Ronnie his money, it's rediculous, but it's the way the game is being played right now.
