Luck is most certainly not better than RT. Ryan makes the deep throws more consistantly and at a higher percentage. Ryan will come back from this minor injury after a couple more games and be what he is. A top 10 QB. Before the games against Cincinnati and NE, he was top 5 in many categories. I expect he'll return to that level and average out somewhere in the top 10 by years end. The caveats are...
-Line must continue to gel. Even tom Brady couldn't play with the line play we saw in the Cincy and NE games.
-NFL has to stand down on the drive killing they are ordering up whenever we are threatening their sweethearts. This has been happening for decades, so doubt that will change. So as usual we have to expect it and play to beat it. That's on the whole team.
-Play calling has to get more creative than in the Cincy and NE games. Need better run/pass balance. That's on Gase.
Ryan can do his best to overcome some of these, but if the line starts allowing defensive linemen and backs to come in unattested, there is no way any QB can survive when it's every single play. The refs need to call holding and PI calls fairly between teams rather than calling them only at "opportune" times for certain teams. LOL... wishful thinking as we've seen.
