Talk to me after T-Hill has 40 starts under his belt. By then we will know what he is made of.
I think we need to look at a comparison of are we surrounding our QB with the correct offensive scheme and supporting cast.
If we drafted Wilson in the 1st round there would of been wide spread panic on these boards.
Can look back to Brady's draft. Hindsight he is the 1st pick in the draft but the day of the draft he was a practice 2nd/3rd string QB. The Patriots did an amazing job to surround him with the supporting cast to grown and succeed. Impossible to tell how he would do on the Chargers or Packers, etc.
yeah...like the best freaking team in the nfc...

One member of the Jets' front office was high on Seahawks' Russell Wilson coming into April’s NFL Draft.
Senior Personnel Executive Terry Bradway championed the former Wisconsin quarterback's cause, defensive coordinator Mike Pettine said today. It earned Wilson the nickname of “Russell Bradway” around the organization.
I think Wilson would do good, on our team. Cant really say if he'd be better or worse than Tannehill. Even though Wilson certainly appears to be a guy whose drive and determination, refuse to let him fail, id have to see how he does when his line allows the whole world in to clobber him almost every game. It's one of the aspects of Tannehill that gives me so much hope, the average QB would curl up with his thumb in his mouth, if they got smashed like RT has. He's stood remarkably stoic in the face of constant assault. But Wilson also strikes me as a mentally tough guy, so my best guess is he'd go down swinging, just like Tannehill has on many occasions.

how long do you think we should wait before we compare john Elway to dan marino? it's apples and oranges.
My opinion is being mentally tough, is in the top 3 characteristics for a QB, well any player really, but especially a QB. I've also noticed that he's been able to hit Wallace a little more, or atleast it seems that way. Tannehill has demonstratedmore than enough skills and improvement of his skills to deserve more time.Although many fault Tannehill on his supposed lack of pocket presence, he does appear to be very resilient and to be "mentally tough". Good characteristics for any quarterback to have.
Ryan Tannehill and Russell Wilson both have 1.75 NFL seasons under their belts and enough time has passed where we can fairly begin to judge them based on their play in the league. Both were available when the Dolphins drafted Tannehill two seasons ago. What do you think Dolphin's fans? Did Jeff Ireland draft the right quarterback?
