Tanny is a bust

This might be the most illogical post about football that I have ever read. By your logic, the Fins scored 1.46 points per rushing attempt while the Bucs only scored 0.59 points per rush. Guess our running game really showed them....
True. Too bad points per rushing attempt isn't correlated with winning. :)

shouright = the Cam Cameron of finheaven posters.

Im still waiting for RT to break for the end-zone and become a instant FH Hero on that last drive inside the 10 when the pocket opened up and he stepped through but I dont think its going to happen because the ball keeps floating out of bounds every time I rewind it.

I find it quite funny that none of the "bust" bashers never argue with anybody..

Lol I'm a "bust" basher. I've argued for Tannehill since last year. But I came to terms with reality.

Now, can this be a coaching problem? Yes, yes it can. Sherman's son-in-law doesn't exactly inspire confidence. But we'll shall see. I truly hope it is, and that a Josh McDonald type can turn him into a stud.

But for right now? He's just not that good.

Because this thread has ballooned into 41 pages. Here, you make a list of reasons why he is not a bust, and we'll go from there.

The team scored below a half a point per pass attempt, whereas the Buccaneers scored over a point per pass attempt, which is about what the Denver Broncos have done this year with Peyton Manning and company.

Counter: Alex Smith.

215 points scored. 315 pass attempts. Undefeated (for now).

Like I said, exceptions to the rule don't disprove the rule. :)

the reason he is on my ignore list
If only I could be on more of the ignore lists of people like you.... :)

If we are upfront on this topic I think all of us would wish RT would be further along in his maturation as an NFL QB. But I am willing to give him more time, like two more seasons, before I will be ready to give up on him. Considering his route in becoming an NFL QB IMO he needs more time than the typical QB and with all the mess the organization is in especially he needs some time to shed that mess and get under stable leadership from a staff that can totally focus on making him a great QB. IMO if he does become a great QB he will develop over time like Flacco has done over the last several years. My biggest concern with him is his turnover ratio. But like I said, let's give him time.

To label someone a bust you must show that they are performing below expectations or below the norm for their peers. IMO, Tannehill is not performing below expectations or his peers. He has improved from last year. I'm baffled how anyone can consider him a bust as this point.
