Tanny > Matty Ice

I am sitting here watching the Thursday night game and found myself saying Tanny would have completed that pass or Tanny would have ran that in for a TD. And the more I think about it, Tannehill is a better all around QB. He has a stronger arm, a more accurate throw and is more athletic. While he doesn't have the same amount of experience, and may not have the same football smarts, that will come in time.

But if I was to choose, I pick Tannehill!!

Been saying this forever, Matt Ryan is a good QB, but he is far from great, if his talent does not help him, he is not going to succeed....Tannehill has had games with little talent around him, and still succeeded.

Give me a call when Tannehill throws for 4,700 yards, 32 touchdowns and only 14 picks in a season; not to forget the 22 game winning drives in his first five years.
Matt Ryan is a stud. He's having difficulty adjusting without his #1 receiver and injury prone #2. Atlanta's oline is also a shamble, not quite as bad as ours, yet he's still got 18 touchdowns to 12 picks. If Atlanta had our defense I think they'd be significantly better than 2-8.

That being said, I like what Tannehill brings to the table and I think he is our guy. But you're putting down a top 5 QB based on his performance against the same Saints team that embarrassed the guy who you're praising.

I will personally do you one better, I will call you once Tannehill wins more then just 1 playoff game.

Well, we still have a ways to go before we know who Tanny is better than, but one thing is damn sure: Matty Ice >>>>>> Jake Long.

If that allows you to sleep at night....go for it.

Stop, you have above average offensive talent around the QB. You spent $100 mil plus to upgrade this offseason, he doesn't get the "no talent" excuse.

...And where did I say this year?

I didn't say you said this year, I brought up this year where he is 5-5 despite the upgrades in talent and the D basically won the last 2 games.

Then why are you replying with " Stop, you have above average offensive talent around the QB. You spent $100 mil plus to upgrade this offseason, he doesn't get the "no talent" excuse."

When I said "Tannehill has had games with little talent around him, and still succeeded."

If you knew I was talking about last year, why even reply? You jumped the gun didn't you?

Unless you thought Miami spent 100 Mil plus last year also to fix the Offense...they didn't

what is the point of talking about last year? you are just making excuses that matt Ryan has succeeded all b/c of his talent around him, this year Tannehill has a ton of talent around him and he's still struggling. switch the QBs and Miami is better while Atl is worse.

I never once said he wouldn't be a good player, I told people to take it easy anointing him before he did anything. Pull it up, vaark saves all my old posts so it should be easy to find.

You only have time to fluff a mediocre QB.

who said anything about being the #1 QB in the league other than hoos? You don't need to be #1 to help your team make a playoff run.

pretty much exactly the same thing you are telling me now about tannehill and we know how the cam wake one turned out...only difference is this one has yet to play out...

you don't have to be putting up elite numbers right now to be headed that way...and just like wake the tools are all there with tannehill

So basically we to compare Matt Ryan and Ryan Tannehill, we just need to talk about this year...cool, Tannehill is the better QB. Thanks Junc

I ask again, where are these upgrades you are speaking about?

Aside from Gibson who hasnt played in 4 weeks and Wallace it is the same exact team as last year.

you don't have to be playing at an elite level right now to be headed that way...and just like wake the tools are all there with tannehill

Just like so many before them that didn't pan out. I didn't see Wake play in Canada, I have seen Ryan play here. There's no way he'll be an elite level NFL QB, he can be a quality starter though. Elite guys are Brady, Peyton, Brees, Rodgers and maybe Ben- that's it. He does not have the ability to be as good as any of those players but we'll see.

W/ Wake I never said he wouldn't be great, w/ Tannehill I am saying it so I will be glad to eat crow if it happens.

Tannehill isn't better this year despite having the talent edge around him.

besides the biggest FA at WR you haven't added anything? he has plenty of weapons to throw to even w/ the Keller and Gibson injuries and it's not like he was lighting it up when Gibson was healthy.

That was easy. Ryan is garbage this year. This year also puts into question his "Eliteness" since it only proved that he cant perform without elite talent around him like the top QB's can

Ok, so I ask again since its clear you didnt understand the question... Aside from Gibson, who hasnt played in 4 weeks, and Wallace (2 players) where are these great upgrades to the offense you are talking about. Lets hear some names.

He has all the tools to succeed, if mark was so bad that anyone can do it why can't Ryan?

The day Tannehill has a top running game, top defense, and good pass protection and looks and incompetent as Sanchez did, I'll be ready to dump him, just like you should have down with butt fumble boy.
