which is why wins are not the best way to judge a QB. Teddy is arguably better- yes, but how much? It sure didn't look like much in his latest outing

just thought I would drop a fact or twoBut it was not 5.5 Mill (which was the argument) and for sure not 7 Mill/year. Good backups are in the range of 3-4 Mill.
I would be much more ready to roll if he didn't affect the comp picksIt's definitely a roll of the dice ... but is the juice worth the squeeze? I tend to think it's a low risk, high reward type of move but would understand wanting to go in a different direction.

It’s high risk low reward in the sense that it’s unlikely he’ll be a franchise QB, but there’s a decent chance that he’ll be good enough to keep the team in 6-10 mediocrity during his tenure.
Most Dolphin fans, including myself, are demoralized as is. I get that management doesn’t want things to appear as if the goal is to lose next season, but the return they’ll get on trotting out a real if mediocre QB is low from a PR standpoint, that it’s just better to be as honest as you can be. If it goes as it should, we’ll all be much happier in the long run.
I'm really not even sure its a lateral move. I like Teddy a lot. Love his story. I just think hes very limited. Ok arm. Not really mobile. What characteristic of his can you point to and say that's above average. Accuracy is decent. Hes coming back from an atrocious injury. Nearly losing his leg. Is he mentally prepared to play with that?
He was a game manager in Minnesota with the best running back of my generation and top ten defense. He threw for 14 TDs and 12 Ints in his best season. He's not gonna have the same luxury here. Quite the opposite. Hes gonna have to score points with less than stellar weapons and a below average oline and a bottom third defense.
Over 4000 yards, 27 TDs and 12 INTs isn't significantly better than 3200 yards 14 TDs and 9 INTs....umm how?
He replied to me as if I was trying to shine a better light on Tannehill by comparing only their best years... While I was only commenting on a previous post about precisely comparing their best year...
