The Debate is FINALLY settled...The Fiedler haters.....WIN!!!

What a worthless post.
Your Lombardi quote, tell me Jay didn't have all those attributes, he has them all. Now, is he as great as he wants to be? 2 INT's and a fumble in what he knew was the game of his life? His arm fails him sometimes, no matter how much he wants to be great.

I have often stood up for Fiedler when he deserved it, but today was just too much. Guess what? It wasn't just Fiedler who stunk up the joint! Feeley didn't look much better. Sure, he moved the team down the field and scored but that was with us down by 17 with 6 minutes left! They (Titans) were GIVING AJ & Co. the underneath! When you are down by 17 in the 4th with 6 minutes to go, YOU HAVE TO GO DOWN FIELD WITH IT! We had nothing to lose at that point. We had everything to gain. A catch, a defensive pass interference or a touchdown and suddenly it's a different game with more time left on the clock. Bottom line is that Fiedler was terrible and Feeley wasn't much better. Something has to give.

Overall, with the exception of Randy McMichael and Lamar Gordon, this entire team sucked! It sucked so bad that I thought I was in a porn flick instead of JRS! The O-line either missed too many blocks or they just didn't have the guts to blow the defense off of the ball when it counted! When they weren't failing at their assignment, they were either holding or getting called for a false start! A FALSE START! ON THE CENTER OF ALL PEOPLE!!!! Jeezuz! HOW DOES A CENTER BLOW THE SNAP COUNT?!?!?! And one other question while I am at it.........WHO CALLED THE TIMEOUT DURING OUR EXTRA POINT ATTEMPT?!?! WHAT A FRIGGIN' WASTE!

Our defense showed signs of life but as it turns out those signs were often followed by seizures. How can our defense give up running yards at 3 and 4 yards a pop? Why is it that we STILL get burned over the middle with short passes? Teams have been doing it to us for years and they are STILL doing it! When will SOMEONE ACCOUNT FOR THE GUYS COMING OVER THE MIDDLE?!?! I would love to praise our defense but there were just too many breakdowns (at least as many as there were favorable plays). I will cut them some slack though as I am sure that they were exhausted from being on the field all day (THANKS OFFENSE).

As if all of this were already bad enough for fans to have to endure, the Refs had to add insult to injury. TWO bad calls on their part. First, the Titans player WAS out of bounds but was GIVEN the reception to keep a Titan drive alive. Next, Booker (I believe it was him) DID catch the ball, tuck it, turn and THEN the ball was knocked out resulting in the fumble that was recovered by Chambers (good heads-up play on Chris' part).......... but wait! Noooooo, although it was CLEAR on the Jumbo-tron, they blew yet ANOTHER call by calling it an incompletion, making it 4th down and forcing us to punt! Get real! Someone remind me what instant replay is for again? Well folks, I can tell you that today it was only used to prolong the fans suffering as NO call that was challenged went our way (two of those clearly being bad calls).

Dave, you have an undisciplined team that DOES NOT respect you. Your coaching staff DOES NOT respect you. The Officials DON'T even respect you! As for us fans, we have had our better days and they were clearly before you and Jimmy ran this team into the ground. I, for one, can hardly wait until the last of the Jimmy Johnson legacy is GONE.

There are a lot of words that I would love to use to describe todays game but most would get me banned. So, I will just use PATHETIC.

*Note: For those people that are going to jump on this as a "fairweather fan" post, I have been a fan all of my life and I reserve the right to call things as I see them. In short, don't waste your time or mine.
 Well said!

Heh, the only thing that the evidence shows is that the Titans were playing soft in the end. I bet even Feeley will tell you that. Of course if you knew anything about football you could have seen it for yourself.:D

There is none. Just respect for a quarterback that has stood behind an line that sucks, and has gone to war for this team on Sunday's and the fans do not give him a spit of respect.
OK I respect that...and I respect the fact that Jay gave his all as I said before but I'm tired of status quo arent you? Doesnt Feely at least give you hope because we're unsure of what he can do? We've seen what jay can do.

I respect Jay Fiedler. I wish he was a good quarterback because he does have guts.

Man I've always respected Jay, I have for a very long time. I'm just tired of trying to win with him b/c he's not helping matters. We need a guy who makes plays, particulary on our running-depleted O (though Gordon is looking solid).

Can AJ do that? I dont know. I know that he has a stronger arm. I know that on 3rd and long today with Jay we called a a draw and threw it short another time, and with AJ in there we got first downs.

Oh, yes, honestly, yes, but, I believe that its more then just the qb. Its the offensive gameplan. I am just sick of people ripping a quarterback that has done what he can, and praising someone that is really an unknown.

Hmmm. A defense is playing soft that is blitzing nearly every down. Yeah.

We should get mad at wansteadt for game planning weak throws and bad decisions.

Praising someone that is really an unknown is praising change. The best thing Feeley does have going for him is he is not Fiedler. Fiedler had 4 years to win over the fans. Good games, good wins, the fans would of loved him. I don't wnat to boo fiedler. I don't want to hate Fiedler. I am just sick of wincing everytime I see him go back to pass. I am sick of thanking god that the defensive back dropped the interception. I am sick of seeing an offense that is limited because of the quarterback.

If it is all the game plan, we would be able to see a quarterback who is playing better than the game plan. However we don't.

Agree with everything you say. Except, I don't believe Miami ever excepted Fieldler.

Fiedler didn't do anything for miami to accept.

Why should he be accepted? All he has done in his 4+ year career in Miami is completely suck in every fashion.

Why do I respond to you. Ignoring you after that comment.

And they have at times (as mentioned in earlier post, see Okland and Washington). The problem with ANY QB that comes in here is that if they are ANYTHING short of Marino, the fans will NEVER really embrace them. Sad but true. Joe Robbie may have built this stadium, but it's Marino's ghost that haunts it. Until a generation comes along that never saw Dan play, he will always be the barometer to which all Dolphins QB's will be measured against.
