the elephant in the room

If we don't rely on Reggie McKensie to help with the o-line we're crazy. He'll find us better guys than Grier. Don't let Grier near the o-line. He stinks at it. He better hope Dieter pans out.

You mean the same Reggie McKenzie that built the Raiders crappy O-line that got Derek Carr injured?

Dolphins are gonna draft 4 o lineman if not 5 plus take another 4 or 5 Udfa o lineman plus get a player or two off the NFL heap.

the days of having shitty o line play are over!

You mean the same crappy OL that was ranked 8th in 2014 you know Carr's rookie year, the same year Carr's sack% was tied for 5th best in the NFL?
You mean the same crappy OL that was ranked 2nd in 2015, the same year Carr's sack% was 16th in the NFL which is far from crappy?
You mean the same crappy OL that was ranked 4th in 2016 and produced 3 pro bowlers, the same year Carr's sack% was #1 as in the best in the NFL?
You mean the same crappy OL that was ranked 5th in 2017 and produced 3 pro bowlers again, the same year Carr's sack% was 4th best in the NFL?

2018 is the only time in McKenzie tenure that the Raiders had a crappy OL and that was a year in which they started 2 rookies at RT and LT and their starting guards missed a combined 8 games. Also Carr played 16 games behind that crappy OL. It helps if you don't have preconceived notions.

Well we might as well talk about it. Can Miami get away without drafting an offensive tackle in round 1 and potentially use the later rounds to fill a glaring need?
After first round picks on Long, Pouncey, James and Tunsil ,and Grier in some front office capacity on the termination of 3 of those, could the strategy be to wait until after round 1 and could that pay off?
This is what we used to say...."you can't hit a baseball in the afternoon but yet you think you can hit one after the sun goes down"
This team sucks at drafting OL early so why would they do better drafting OL late?

That's the one. I still give Reggie a shot over Grier. He can't draft o-line, he's proven it. Marvin Allen is also in the process so there's a brain trust at work. Evan Boehn just got picked up by the Bills. I didn't know we didn't resign him. I thought the kid could play center pretty well.

Use all the 3 first rounders in Olinemen and forget about QB this year. We got old man Magic and Chosen Rosen. Tua would be the Small Elephant with a pronounced limp in the room.
